Allen chuckled softly. "No. It wasn't personal. I had my reasons, and keeping things low-key was one of them."
Mila exhaled slowly, her posture relaxing slightly. "You know, that's… surprisingly reasonable. I thought it was something more dramatic."
"I get that a lot," Allen said with a smirk. "But no, it was just about timing. Revealing something like this isn't exactly simple."
Mila sipped her wine thoughtfully. "I guess that makes sense. Still, you played it well. No one saw this coming."
"That was the point," Allen said simply. "If people knew too early, they'd have treated me differently. I needed them to see me for what I could do, not who I was."
Mila nodded slowly, her respect for him visibly growing. "Fair enough."
