"I got it," Allen said, keeping his tone neutral. "I'll deal with it."

Kai stepped forward. "You two should head back to the party. People might start asking questions if you're gone too long."

"Wait," Azura said, holding up a hand. "Let me go out first. Elio and Alexander are around, and they don't know I'm your cousin. It's better if it stays that way for now. I'll tell them one day, but right now it'll just be awkward."

Allen raised an eyebrow but didn't argue. "Fine. Go ahead."

Azura shot him a quick smile before heading out, her steps light but composed. Once she disappeared into the main hall, Allen exhaled, rolling his shoulders slightly to release some tension.

"I'll catch up in a bit," he told Kai. "I need a minute."

Kai nodded without question. "Understood. I'll be nearby if you need anything."
