Noble lady

The air in the room became thick and Arissa noticed how her parents off looks at the mention of a lawyer. While her groom just sat on his seat like a king on his throne not even looking at her parent but at the door waiting for his lawyer.

"So can I know your name?" she asked relaxing on her chair as she enjoyed her parent's unrelaxed expression.

"Arissa," her father called her name sternly when he heard her question. Just what the hell is she doing asking such a question?

"Is something wrong with her question?" Her groom asked with a thin frown on his brow hearing how her father cut her off her question.

Her father released a light smile, "No, there isn't. There is nothing wrong with her question," her father answered turning over to Arissa with an awkward chuckle before looking back at her groom.

' Wyatt?!. Wyatt Enterprises Holdings, Ltd!,' Arissa recalled the man's name and the name of the brightest and most successful company she saw in her search earlier.

So this is the Wyatt family that defeated her family in the business world.

Arissa's smile increased and became real before picking up a mineral water can from the table. Her father is extremely shaky right now and it gives her beautiful scenery and a satisfied smile seeing her father this way.

Never in her next life did she think that someone as ruthless and tyrant as him would have someone to make him weak with his tongue.

"I am Mr. Wyatt," he responded and this made Arissa smile before bringing her mineral can to her red lips with a nod.

Her groom seems not to be so bad or is pretending not to be but whichever way, she promises to make her parents pay a billion folds of everything they are doing to Adele and making her do.

She took the can off her red lips and crocked the bottle lid back, "Why is the contract two years?" she asked facing her parents with a raise on her left brow.

To pay them back, she would start from here by showing a part of their true color and, that is by planting a seed of discord between them and their new victim because surely, she knows her parents are not trustworthy.

And this groom of hers is smart enough to add a lawyer to whatever deal they are having right now that she is still left in the dark on.

"Mr. Lincoln?" her groom turned to her parents with a frown on his face increasing.

Her father's face tightened and before he would speak up, her mother chipped in, "Arissa is_"

"Keep quiet woman," her groom, Mr. Wyatt said harshly shutting her mother up, irritation showing on his face. And Arissa could only smile looking at how her mother's face dropped.

She is bemused right now.

This is the first time she is seeing her mother controlled by someone. She looked at her father but unlike usual, he can't stand up for his small little Mrs.

She chuckled inwardly and raised her finger to her face looking at her red nails slowly.

She would surely make sure to set her manipulation games well and even this groom of hers would regret accepting whatever deal her parents arranged with him.

"She is overworking herself right now and that is what resulted in her not reading the whole deal in the contract but, that is okay because we would explain it ourselves to her the moment we leave her," her father picked up from her mother.

Mr. Wyatt gazed at her parents hard before speaking up, "I should not find out that you are forcing her against her will,"

Mr. Lincoln looked over to Arissa with another pretentious smile that made the tip of Arissa's stomach crunch violently.

"She is our daughter and we consulted her first," he affirmed. But still, Mr. Wyatt looked over to Arissa.

Arissa nodded with a smile knowing he is consulting if she knows about all of these. He is so gentlemanly and Arissa can bet that she would have not been disgusted with her parents had it been he a lot younger.

And the moment her groom's handsome face looked away, the door was pulled open, and a woman in her mid-fifties walked in with a man behind her.

Arissa scanned the woman who just came in and in seconds, she figured out that the woman is extremely wealthy.

And the way she held herself is also so high that Arissa had to roll her eyes upward to control her facial expression before her parents and groom.

And the man behind her, obviously the lawyer is also someone in his fifties, but early fifties. He held a briefcase with him and walked over to the table.

Arissa watched how her parents went into their shells in the presence of the lawyer and whoever this woman with him is.

Maybe the lawyer's wife?

The noble lady walked to the table with her strong aura that even Arissa glued her eyes on her without blinking.

The lady sat beside Arissa's groom while the lawyer sat at the other edge of the table looking at Arissa directly before Arissa's eyes, the lady tilted her head over to the man and he did the same and they kissed briefly.
