When Ryan walked through the door of Rin's office, he was surprised by what was on the table. It was a small cake, with a cherry on top and a few pieces of chocolate sprinkles scattered on top. As he entered the room, the girl quickly stood up and jumped into his arms. "Welcome back!" she said.

Rin's embrace was warm, the girl bumping into the boy's chest. Raising her head, she looked at the boy with puppy-like animation. Ryan then began to pet the girl, which caused her to show her gray tail and start wagging it just like a puppy.

The girl then moved away a little, still smiling, and pulled Ryan by the hand to the table. "I made this cake to celebrate your return. I know it's not much, but I hope you like it."

Ryan looked at the cake and then at Rin, he was feeling grateful, but that in itself was surprising. "Thanks, Rin. I didn't know you'd started cooking."
