307 - Elf

When Olivia and Ruby left the room, Ryan quickly got up from his chair and asked the blue-haired girl to stay. "Wait! I still need to talk to you," he said, surprising his wife.

Olivia just nodded and waited for the redhead to leave. Closing the door, Ryan crossed the room in seconds and gave Olivia a tight hug. "It's okay, I know it was hard for you," he said, his voice full of understanding.

Olivia's heart was racing, reflecting her deep identity crisis. Ever since she was little, she had always felt out of place. In the first world, she was treated like an elf, an outsider, despite her desire to be seen as human. And now, in the second world, she discovered that even this wasn't true.

"If I'm not like the elves here and I'm not like the humans back home, that means I never belonged to either world. I'm just distant," she said, with a tone of voice full of uncertainty.
