The fire bats began to attack from above, their flaming wings lighting up the night sky as they launched themselves towards Ryan and Ishtar. The bats' shrill cries echoed across the battlefield, creating a terrifying cacophony.

Ishtar quickly raised her hands, conjuring a magical shield to protect both of them from the aerial attacks. The shield glowed with an intense light, temporarily blocking the bats' attacks. However, the heat and force of the attacks were quickly wearing down the barrier.

Ryan, taking advantage of the protection offered by Ishtar, began to channel his magic. "Judgment of the Sun!" he shouted, creating small spheres of light that hurtled towards the winged opponents. The spheres glowed brightly as they flew through the air, but when they hit the fire bats, they seemed to dissipate harmlessly, unable to penetrate the flaming aura surrounding the creatures.
