Hallucinations

As the day progressed, Nyxera remained by Xylon's side, watching over him intently. The hours seemed to drag on, and with each passing minute, she felt her hope waning.

But suddenly, Xylon stirred and whispered hoarsely, his voice barely audible.

"Take me to the gate," he said, his eyes still closed.

Nyxera leaned in closer, her heart racing with anticipation. She desperately wanted to know what he was talking about, what gate he meant.

She leaned over him, her face close to his, and asked, "What gate are you talking about?"

Xylon repeated his request, this time a bit louder, "Take me to the gate."

Nyxera was confused. She had lived in this area for a long time, and she had never heard of a gate.

She furrowed her brows and asked, "What gate? I don't know what you're talking about, human."

Xylon's breathing grew labored, and Nyxera could tell he was in great pain.
