Reconnecting-2 -

Over the next few days, Eva stuck to her routine of healing Xylon's wounds and administering medication to keep him sedated and pain-free.

  She hardly left his side, sleeping in a chair next to his bed and only getting up to tend to his needs. 

For the first five days, Eva's system worked like a charm and Xylon remained sedated, feeling no pain or discomfort.

  However, on the morning of the sixth day, something changed. 

Xylon woke up with a look of confusion and a sense of restlessness. 

Eva immediately noticed his shift in demeanor and knew something was amiss.

"Xylon, are you feeling okay?" she asked, her concern etched in her voice.

She was caught off guard when he suddenly spoke, asking her to take her hand away from his head. 

For a moment, she was confused, unsure of how to respond. She had grown accustomed to placing her hand on his head and manipulating his senses to keep him sedated.
