She was still sobbing uncontrollably as he gently whispered in her ear, "If only I had known it was you, I would not have reacted like this."

  Eva clung onto him even tighter, her voice choked with emotion as she pleaded, "I would never push you away, Xylon. I would never intentionally hurt you. Please believe me."

Xylon gently touched both of Eva's hands, slowly prying them away from his neck. He held her hands in his, his touch tender and comforting, as he gently pushed her away from him, creating a small space between them. 

His gaze locked with hers. Eva's eyes were red and swollen from crying, reflecting the depth of her emotional turmoil.

In that moment, time seemed to stand still as Xylon studied her face, tracing every contour and line. He saw himself reflected in her eyes as he said: " You wanted to leave the farm !"
