Dalila took a few steps outside the house when Josie appeared .

As Josie and her father arrived accompanied by a group of people from the open space, Eva's heart sank.

The intense gazes directed at her were filled with judgment and contempt, making her feel like an outcast in her own home. She couldn't fathom why they would look at her in such a way, especially after all the effort she had put into making amends and proving herself.

Josie approached Eva with a stern expression, her eyes hardened with anger. "What have you done?" she demanded, her voice sharp and accusatory.

Eva stood there, taken aback by the hostility in Josie's words. "I haven't done anything wrong," she replied, her voice trembling slightly.
