His twisted plans

That night, Xylon willingly chose to depart Eva from the farm and, by extension, from his life.

In the past, he had despised her attempts to escape, but now, her constant presence had become an overwhelming chaos.

Despite her significance to him, the idea of dependence on a family member, especially after the traumatic events of his past life where his demon father, aided by his brothers, had orchestrated his demise, was an unequivocal rejection for Xylon.

Standing in the desolate desert, Eva appeared as if shattered into a million pieces. Xylon had opened the door for her, and she knew, without a shadow of a doubt, that he wouldn't reconsider.

The pain was palpable, and she refrained from uttering goodbyes or seeking solace in a hug.

Tears welled up in her eyes, and without hesitation, she started walking away, leaving the farm and her shattered connection with Xylon behind.
