As memories of Iclyn's possessive claim over Xylon flooded Eva's mind, a wave of dizziness engulfed her, causing her to slide away from Xylon's grasp.

Unsteady on her feet, she stood and walked a few paces away, feeling his intense gaze follow her every movement.

"Truly to be claimed... that's just... you practicing your birthright as an Additum, Xylon, for a failed Primus," she uttered, her voice trembling with a mixture of fear and defiance.

Xylon observed her retreat with an unreadable expression, tinged with a hint of concern.

With a heavy sigh, he lifted himself from the sandy ground and sat, maintaining a respectful distance.

"Eva," he began, his voice soft yet firm, "even if there weren't that bond between us, this is the only way for me to claim you. Don't let your mind fool you into thinking that I would treat you differently if you were not my Primus."

Eva's voice wavered as she spoke, her self-doubt evident in every word.
