Twelve

"Where am I?" The creature asked with a faint voice.

"Lilian, the creature is awakened," Adora said excitedly.

"Who are you?" Lilian asked as she walked closer to the creature that was being tied with the rope with the highest energy.

"Do you care?" The creature asked and laughed sarcastically.

"Yes, I do," Lilian replied as she gave the knife she was holding to Adora so that she would fill it up with her energy.

"You don't need to know." The creature said and laughed again.

"What creature are you? I have never seen your kind." Lilian said as she walked even closer to the creature to examine it closely.

Before the creature could say anything, Adora asked,

"What are you? A male? A female? You don't look like any."

Adora as she joined Lilian in examining the creature and continued talking.

"You don't have breasts, neither do you have any reproductive organs. How do you do it?"

"Do what?" The creature asked.

"How do you have sex?" Adorable asked.

Before the creature could reply, Adora asked another question again,

"Do you have children? How did you breastfeed them?"

"There is no need for plenty of questions," Lilian said, as she stopped examining the creature and walked towards the table where Adora kept the knife.

"I still have a lot of questions," Adora said as she placed her fist on her jaw, still examining the creature but not at a very close distance.

"There is no need for that. It was a female... No, it was you when it came to me." Lilian said as she picked up the knife and began to examine it.

"I am not it." The creature said in a deep voice in anger.

"So, what are you?" Lilian as she turned around to face the creature.

"I am not telling you," The creature said and laughed again.

"You are not?"

"Can you change the way your voice sounds too?"

Lilian and Adora asked at the same time respectively.

"No." The creature responded, glaring at Lilian.

"As for you, stop asking stupid questions, they are not helping." The creature said to Adora as it faced her.

"She is not here to help you. She is here to torment you." Lilian said as she walked closer to the creature.

"Yes!" Adorable exclaimed as she posed in front of the creature to support what Lilian just said.

"Adorable?" Lilian called.

"Yup," Adora responded.

"Seal the doors and the windows with your energy, so that no human would hear this creature scream for help," Lilian said with a smirk.

"Like a baby chicken?" Adora asked.

"Yes, like a baby chicken." Lilian. Responded as she blindfolded the creature.

"Like a..."

"Seal the door and the windows." Lilian interrupted Adora.

"On it," Adora said as she quickly did as instructed.

"Where were we again?" Lilian asked as she brushed the edge of the knife on the face of the creature.

"About to torment it," Adora responded as she clapped excitedly.

"You two are psychos. And you, I am not it." The creature said.

"So what are you?" Lilian asked in anger.

"I can't tell you." The creature said.

Lilian walked towards Adorable and stood in front of the creature.

" Look at me, do I look like I am joking?" Lilian asked.

" I can't see anything right now, I am blindfolded." The creature protested.

"Not my business," Lilian said.

The creature sighed and was about to say something but Adora still has more questions to ask.

"How did you know it wasn't me?" Adora asked.

"I believe and heaven knows that I have said it a thousand times now that I am not an..."

"Shut up," Lilian and Adora shouted in unison.

The creature coughed once, cleared its throat and said,

"Sorry."

"How did I know?" Lilian asked and Adora nodded in response.

Lilian knew that the Adora she saw was not the Adorable she knew from the moment she returned from the Queen's Quarter.

The Adora she knew would never abbreviate anyone's name.

She hardly sweats and is always adorable as that was where her name came from.

She is a fancy girl who wants to marry only a fancy man, and that was why she didn't marry any of her suitors.

They were the type of men she wouldn't want to even be friends with, talk less of marrying them.

Another thing that made Lilian catch the creature is that Adora always clung to her, the creature was just walking far away from her.

She does cute things too. Even if she is already twenty years old, she has the face of a girl half her age and she also speaks like one when she is in trouble or agony.

"So, was that how you caught it?" Adora asked.

Lilian nodded and said,

"Since you are not ready to speak. I shall make your mouth functionless for the time being."

She walked towards her dirty clothes and tore out two pieces.

She put one inside the creature's mouth and used the other one to tie it.

The creature tried protesting by shaking its head but Lilian succeeded.

"Unseal the windows and the door," Lilian ordered as she returned the knife and straightened her clothes.

"On it," Adora said as she started unsealing the door and the windows.

"Adora, I have a new roomie. You can come to visit and play with it anytime you like." Lilian said.

"Can I learn how to make its hair and apply makeup on it?" Adora asked.

"Sure. Let's go visit the Queen again." Lilian said and walked out of her room.

"That stupid creature has wasted my precious time," Lilian complained in frustration as Adora joined her.

"It's that even a creature? It looks like the devil itself." Adora said.

Lilian stopped walking, as she quickly placed an arm on one of Adora's shoulders and the other one on her pushed-out lips.

"Shh! Never say that again. Remember, it is forbidden to say the devil is alive. It was killed by the Ruler of Heaven years ago." Lilian warned and cautioned.

"I am sorry," Adorable cautioned with her beautiful voice.

"It's fine and besides, if that thing was the devil, we wouldn't still be breathing by now," Lilian said as she removed her hand from Adora's shoulder and they resumed walking.

Adora didn't say anything and that was how they remained silent until they reached the Royal's Quarter.

Adorable stopped walking and said,

"You know that I can't go any further."

"No way. Come with me." Lilian said to Adora.

She didn't oblige like the previous times.

When they entered the Queen's Chamber, they both knelt in front of the door the Queen was likely to be at the hour of the day and greeted the Queen.

The Queen ordered them to enter.

When they entered the Queen's room, Lilian quickly walked towards her and knelt in front of her and said,

"Queen mother, I have a request to make."

"What is it, my child?" The Queen asked.

Lilian looked behind her to see Adora, who was still standing,

"Adorable, kneel." Lilian requested.

Adora quickly fell to her knees and started pleading

"I am sorry your highness...for... For my ignorance." She said as tears began rolling down her cute cheeks.

"Are you the legendary Adorable?" The Queen asked as her face lit up with a smile.

"Legendary? No."

"Yes, Queen... Your Highness, I am Adorable." Adorable said with her head bowed.

"You are truly adorable." The Queen said with a smile.

"Thank you, Queen," Adora said as she rose from bowing but was still on her knees.

The Queen laughed softly and said,

"Come here."

"Me?" Lilian and Adora asked in unison.

"No. The cute girl." The Queen said.

"How old are you?" The Queen asked.

"Twenty-one," Adorable replied

"You are not twenty?" Lilian asked, glaring at Adora.

She has always thought that Adora was twenty years old.

"No," Adora said, shaking her head at the same time.

"But in your resume, it was written that you are twenty," Lilian said, looking back at the gorgeous lady.

"I just turned twenty-one," Adora said.

"When?" The curious Queen and Lilian asked in unison.

"Three days ago." Adorable responded.

Lilian shrugged and said,

"Okay."

The Queen, still smiling, sighed and said,

"If not that my son is already betrothed to Lilian, I would have asked him to seek your hand in marriage."

"He is not my type," Adora said.

She quickly placed her right palm on her mouth, the moment she realized what she just said,

"It's fine." The Queen said.

"Thank you, Queen," Adora said,

"Your highness." The Queen corrected her because she would be beheaded right away if the king was here.

"I am sorry, your highness." Adorable apologized.

"No, it's fine. We all make mistakes at one point in our lives." The Queen said and winked at her.

Adorable was about to say something but the Queen interrupted,

"You may rise."

"Me?" The two girls asked in unison.

"Yes, the both of you." The Queen responded, nodding at the same time.

"Queen mother, I am here for two things," Lilian said.

"There is fire on the mountain," Adora added.

"What is it?" The Queen asked, curiously.
