Wendigo - [ Chapter - 38 ]

While Ju-Won was showing them the way, Hyun Ki was curious as to what being a ranker fully meant so he then asked Ji-Ho as he said, "Hey, what are the requirements for being a ranker and how is that different from normal players and high rankers?".

As Hyun Ki said that, Ji-Ho then smiled and said, "My connections are cool, huh? It's not that easy to meet a ranker, let alone one that wants to date you." he said as he smiled at Hyun Ki and he was immediately hit on the head.

Hyun Ki sighed as he continued walking and said to Ji-Ho, "I haven't fully researched about rankings and rankers, so give me a short explanation on them or I'll show you some potions I've learned for interrogation and torture.".

When Hyun Ki said that, Ji-Ho chuckled a bit with a nervous face as he then said, "Fine, fine, I was just joking, ok, now let me explain, rankers are players that are insanely strong and they should have levels above the 100s.".

Ji-Ho then paused and then pointed at his cousin as he said, "So what I really mean is they have absolutely no life in the real world." when he said that, he made it loud enough for her to hear and so she then came over.

Ju-Won smiled angrily at Ji-Ho as she started pummeling him with her fists as he complained that it was bullying as he was a creation class and he hadn't even reached level 50 yet but she didn't care at all.

Ah-In was a bit worried for Ji-Ho as she was just watching at the side line and she tried healing him but it just made his pain last a lot longer but after a while Ju-Won stopped bit Ji-Ho was still at full health thanks to Ah-In.

So he then went closer to Hyun Ki as he whispered and said, "My cousin here is a love fanatic, she loves thinking of those scenarios of falling in love in the novels she reads and thanks to your model face, she's fallen for you.".

He said as he chuckled a bit and this just made Hyun Ki confused and just said, "I don't care about that stuff though, so if you're right I'll just reject her, is that okay?", Ji-Ho chuckled a bit and said, "Don't worry, she can get over people really fast.".

After a while of them talking and travelling, Ju-Won then stopped as she said, "Okay, this is the place." she said as she stopped at the side of a mountain with a huge part of it being covered in vines and different plants and herbs.

Although Hyun Ki collected a lot of plants and herbs from the surrounding already, he started collecting the ones on the mountain and vines as he did this, Ju-Won then said, "Me, and a few other mercenaries along with the Blue Dragon Guild were looking around here before.".

She continues and said, "This place has a lot of plants and herbs that regrow constantly and so we collected a lot of plants to sell and use and so we mercenaries helped them collect all of it but we stumbled upon a hidden boss underneath one of the vines.".

Once she said that, she then threw some red daggers as they cut through some vines and a little opening of a cave appeared and she then said, "Only a few of the mercenaries know about this, we didn't tell the guild we were with about this as well, so come on.".

They then started going inside of the cave as Ji-Ho and Hyun Ki activated their electric abilities to only a level they can use for lighting whole Ah-In and Ju-Won were using consumable torches for a quick source of light.

A little while of walking Ju-Won then said, "Careful, this part now has some extremely deadly traps even ones that kill you instantly, although I'm showing you this, the boss hasn't been defeated yet by any of the rankers who knows this location.".

Then as she said this she signaled them to only follow where she goes and moves slowly and awkwardly trying to dodge any and all of the traps she knows about and she continues and said, "We want to have the first boss clear reward so we're keeping it a secret.".

As she said that suddenly they could see a light at the other side of the cave, they entered and so she then removed her torch and then said, "Ok, this part is now safe from traps but this is now the boss's territory so be careful.".

While she said that she then became partly invisible as she said, "I'm using a stealth skill so don't be surprised when you see me like this but the boss here is a field boss which can roam around but we haven't seen any other monsters here before.".

Ju-Won then continued as she said, "But still be careful and prepare your weapons and any skills since this boss also has a stealth skill and the boss here is quite a famous myth, it's the Wendigo and it has a sense skill as well, so that's why I said to be careful.".

Hyun Ki looked around the place and it looked exactly like a forest even though they were inside a cave and the cave roof made it look like it was night and there was something there that looked like stars so he was a bit curious as to what they were.

But then a panel came up as Hyun Ki was using his appraisal skill to try and look what were making the tiny lights on the roof and at the plants and herbs around them and it said, "Wendigo (Mythical Variant)" and it was actually camouflage near the trees.

So then Hyun Ki quickly brought out the molten and glacier swords and actu activated his spirit arms as he also used his water flow ability with the glacier sword and his conduction ability with the molten sword since he realized he was able to combine the abilities into them.

When Hyun Ki did this, he then said to them, "I found the boss." he said as he stared right at it point his two swords directly at it and it then started to immediately dash forward screeching at Hyun Ki as it realized it was already spotted by him.

When it did this, Ji-Ho and Ju-Won then came running at it as Ji-Ho threw his hammer as it was charged up with electricity and Ju-Won cut her hands a bit as she covered her daggers in her blood then threw it as she started to control them attacking the boss.

Although their attacks was strong, the Wendigo then suddenly disappeared into dust as it was now walking slower and all of them couldn't see it except Hyun Ki thanks to his appraisal skill and it was actually walking directly towards him.

It seemed like it's speed was sacrificed in order to use it's stealth skill and it was going to try and attack Hyun Ki when it was close enough but Hyun Ki just smiled as he waited for it to get I'm his range and when he did he then slashed it using the two swords.

After doing that, he then took the molten sword from the spirit arms and started to duel wield them and his spirit arms then started drawing multiple spells to attack the boss and boost himself, so he then quickly dashed towards the boss as it was now screeching from pain.
