"How could I have been so blind?" He asked himself. He gritted his teeth, feeling even more disappointed in himself than he was of his brother.

His eyes had reddened when they met Simone's gaze. Through gritted teeth, he said, "Get me Tom, now!"

Simone nodded and left immediately. As soon as he was out, Timothy let his head fall to the table, banging it so hard it hurt. But, the pain did not, and could not compare to the one he was feeling in his heart.
