Chapter Nineteen: Where She Ends It All.

With each faltering step she took, when the taxi stopped in front of the city's central hospital, Narika could truly feel what it meant for one to be on edge.

For the fact that Adrik had no idea who Morgana was, but he had attacked her right after her visit to the witch, made the young lady fear for her life and that of her loved ones.

She has a whole series of questions she wanted to ask, but definitely there won't be any reassuring answers, as to why a ghost was tormenting her life.

Morgana, who was the only way to get rid of him, had been eliminated in  a space of a day.

She walked into the hospital, with her arms wrapped around her. She wasn't really sure that she was ready to face Zoe in there, after all this was all her fault.

Her aunt Morgana is dead because of her, she couldn't ulter any words as she made her way towards the receptionists quarter.

"I'm..looking for Morgana Wintergreen, she was checked in…" she choked on her words, the young lady couldn't really open her mouth to say that she's dead.

Thankfully the nurse didn't want to ask further, before she opened her file and smiled upon the young lady, who was pale as if she had seen a ghost.

"That would be room forty five, I'm so sorry for your.." The nurse's statement was cut short by Zoe calling out to Narika.

Narika turned abruptly to face her, she looked awful. What was she expecting? That she would be fine that her aunt died who wasn't considered family finally died?

"Zoe.." Narika breathed, her feets involuntarily doing the movement on their own, and stopped right where Zoe was standing, with tears running down her face.

It was as if the tears weren't controllable around Narika, which had the young girl wrapped her arms around her best friend.

"H..he killed her, I..kn..know it was him." Zoe stuttered, as Narika couldn't help herself and started her own crying session.

"I'm sorry, it's all my fault." She apologized, breaking down completely. She couldn't find it in herself to mention her aunt's name, as she was the one at fault here.

"No, it's not your fault," Zoe broke away from the hug, before taking her hands into her own while calling her name, so she could look right into her face.

"He's nothing but a barbaric idiot that karma.."Zoe did the consoling, if anything she knew that Narika wouldn't be the same after what has happened today.

Maybe she shouldn't have let her know about her aunt immediately, if there's anything she knew about her friend, that would have to be the fact that she's more of an emotional person.

"No.. there's nothing you won't tell me right now that would make me think differently. It's all my fault Zoe, you should be mad at me because i brought you into this Zoe, I.."

She couldn't say anything again, as she's lost of words and turned to leave but Zoe drew her back.

" We will fix this Narika," Her best friend affirmed.

"There's no fixing this," Narika said otherwise, the young lady lost every hope that there would be anything else she, or anyone would do to help her out of this situation.

It was hopeless. Adrik wanted her, and that was so simple. It was her he wanted, maybe if she had complied with his wishes, and not put on her tough girl's coat, she wouldn't be experiencing any of this." He wants me, maybe it's right that i give in, and nobody would get hurt again because of…"

"No!" Zoe shouted at her, and that attracted the attention of everyone who turned to look at the two young ladies. They were interrupting the peace of everyone.

"No, Narika don't do this please." Zoe begged, holding onto her hand. She was scared, yeah really really scared for her life.

But how considerate of her, to think that they still had any other choice in this. She could understand what Narika was trying to do.

Narika still didn't think otherwise, rather she jerked Zoe's hands off her own and ran out of the hospital, with tears flowing down her face while Zoe called for her, but she didn't look back.

It's all your fault babygirl, you shouldn't have listened!

She heard his voice in her head, and she waved her head as if she's trying to push off his voice from her head.

"Get out of my head" she mumbled to herself, while walking and blending into the crowd with no idea where exactly to go from here.

She wasn't intending on going home, her mother has been really worried with the way,she has dashed out of the house without telling her anything.

The ringing of her phone jerked her out of thoughts, and without a guess she knew who was calling her at this moment.

It was her mom, she was confused with what to do. She didn't want her mother involved in this, but she knew that there's no way Zoe wouldn't let her know, if she had decided to give in to the whims of the evil ghost.

Adrik.

Her father would have it way worse, once he knows about this too. So, she did what was rash by switching her phone off, and walking aimlessly around the street until it was so late in the night.

Adrik had instilled so much fear in her, that she dreaded the night like she dreaded peanuts that she's allergic to. She had come to figure out that he only comes to her at nighttime.

Maybe she would stay out late till it's morning, she didn't want anything that would prompt her to fall asleep and see him.

She stood on the famous city bridge, whilst watching her life in the past week come flashing through her life like a movie.

She once had a life, a normal life where she's happy, and didn't have any worry like she had right now.

But everything is now  messed up, she's a murderer. She killed Aunt Morgana. Maybe it would be all best if she ends this once and for all?

The silly young lady thought, while she climbed the railings of the bridge. It was so quiet out here, that the incoming cars paid no attention to a stranger, who was on the verge of ending her pathetic life.

She couldn't keep up with the thought that she stands to lose not just her best friend, but her family if she challenges Adrik again.

"I'm so sorry mother, but i can't live this way anymore," she cried, looking down at the water that glistened against the moon.

So this is how I die?

She asked no one, but climbed on the last railings before closing her eyes, she wanted to end this right now.

With her mind made up, and her arms stretched out, she felt herself floating against the water until she heard it.

"I won't think of doing that, Bambina."

Her redemption.
