Sounds of battle kept on echoing in the silent street as it soon came to a stop. The sound of fading steps rang mildly as silence once again took its reign.


Only two bodies were a testimony of the battle that occurred.


Derek watched from afar as the family reunited with tears of joy gushing out of their eyes, he turned and walked away, he had washed his hands but the stains of blood remained on his clothes though they couldn't be seen as his clothes blended with the night. For him, this was a short episode but a kid's eyes were glowing with admiration as he had sighted Derek, he clenched his fist as an uncontrollable urge to be like Derek erupted from the depths of his heart.


"Hey dark hero have a good night" Derek heard a loud voice and turned back, he saw the boy waving from afar as the entire family gazed in his direction but they could only see a silhouette.


Derek's lips curled up a little and he chuckled, he continued walking and soon disappeared from their sight.
