Merged Soul: Reincarnated in a Dark World

Sam could feel the piercing gaze of the bat locked on him, but a loud screech from the sky changed his fate, for the bat seemed to have received new orders and ignored him. It turned and flew towards the trailer.

Other bats, probably each of them at the red level, swooped down and began clawing the trailer. The sound of their claws scraping the metal frame of the trailer brought a trembling and uncomfortable feeling to the soldiers, as some even missed their aim.

The entire trailer was covered with bats and their stationary position gave the soldiers a good advantage, which they did not miss. The remaining ones with ammo smashed their fingers against the triggers and the muzzle of the rifles spurted blue beams.

In a few rounds, four red-level bats had been killed. Another piercing screech from the sky broke their advantage. Lower leveled bats swooped toward the soldiers while red-leveled ones replaced the dead.
