"I'm in," Derek said while pressing the comm in his ear, his eyes scanning the place, which was just a wide corridor with a door at the other end. The lights were bright, illuminating even the hidden spots.

"Derek, I can't really help much from here, but make sure you take the shot before it's too late," he heard Gavin's voice and nodded.

Dipping his hands in the same side pocket, Derek brought out the syringe and folded his sleeve. Glancing at the shot one last time, he injected it into his body.

Derek let out a moan as his body felt unbelievably comfortable, but in the next moment, his eyes widened and his cells sped up, causing him to tremble.

His pupils dilated with golden lines appearing in his cornea, turning Derek's eyes into something strange.

After a short while, Derek felt like punching the wall as the power coursing through him distracted his thoughts. His steps became shaky for a moment but stopped a few seconds after.
