A month later…

3:55 pm

The ceiling appeared before his eyes and it went dark twice, for he blinked. Turning to his right, a cheetah the size of a cat lay on the ground, and from the slow but rhythmic beating of his heart, the cheetah had long since submerged in the comfort of the dream world.

The slight chill from the air conditioner brushed against his body, causing the man's dormant receptors to act.

Taking a slow but deep breath, the fresh scent of the air gushed into his lungs, filling it with its lustrous sense of relief. 'How long was I out?' he questions himself and raises his right arm. The sight of his smooth skin without the slightest scar makes his sharp brows raise.

The door made a sound as it slid open and a brown-haired woman walked in. Her eyes met with his and he saw those brown eyes widen. The amount of shock she felt was revealed by her expression and the cup that fell to the ground.
