Creases formed on her forehead yet before she could turn, a pair of thick arms wrapped around her waist, keeping her in place.

She could feel his firm chest pressing against her back. The powerful beat of his heart was in sync with hers.

"Derek, stop. What happened was just a mistake. Don't mistake it for anything else." She said firmly.

"Ask me to leave and I'll go," he whispered and Ming Yue knew this was it.

That word and he would leave just as she wanted. But was it really what she wanted or her usual attitude to hide her genuine feelings?

Her pupils flickered, as she could feel that Derek would be gone forever once she uttered that word. "Why did you stop?" Ming Yue asked in a mosquito tone.

"Because I did not receive your consent." Derek's deep voice slithered into her ears, causing her barriers to fall.
