"Where are you?" Her lovely voice slithered into his ears. "I'm around."

Clearly, his reply wasn't enough to satisfy Kira who wore an ugly expression when she heard his tone. "Derek, these people are supposed to be under you and if one dies then it's one life less!" Kira hissed.

Derek's brows rose as this might be the first time Kira was this furious but when it concerned lives, it wasn't surprising.

He shot into the air and summoned hundreds of ice shards which fell at the wave of his hand, killing more than a hundred spiders at once.

His sudden attack took both his allies and enemies by surprise. The half-human was the most surprised as he could see Derek's gaze on him.

"He's here!" A mutant hollered and fought with increasing vigor as did those who saw Derek higher than their queen.
