Arlan was fired by the company he was working for after being framed by his Supervisor. Filled with rage and indignance from the injustice, he left the company building with heavy strides.


He was only a contractual worker in the construction company so he wasn’t able to save a lot of money. The cash left in his bank account was only enough to last him for a few days. If he couldn’t find a job in the next few days, he might even have to live on the streets. 


While sitting on a roadside bench, he grabbed his phone and searched for jobs online. Suddenly, an advertisement popped up on his screen, and automatically downloaded a shady app.

Those were the words that flashed on the screen of Arlan’s phone when he accidentally downloaded the shady app. When he pressed the [Yes] button, the screen suddenly lit up and showed the words:

"Arlan, can you tell us what sort of businesses you have in Maharlika? We might be of some help to you in the future." Divine Arnault asked while looking at Arlan.

The others were also curious about this. Even Peter who was quite close with Arlan didn't know a lot about him.

Arlan put down the wine glass in his hand and wiped his mouth with a napkin. He then smiled at Divine as he replied. "I'm not as impressive as you guys think. I just own some stakes in top companies like Starbucks and Mazda. The famous Pegasus Hotel in Maharlika is also mine."

"I know Mazda. It's a car company in Japan that has a total net worth of over 11 billion dollars. Owning shares from this company alone is already impressive, but you also own some shares in Starbucks. Not to mention that Pegasus Hotel is also your property. We have underestimated you." Christopher stared at him in surprise.
