The Summerset Ball (King Hans)

The sound of a battle raging in the gardens could be heard as it jarringly interrupted the music coming from the orchestra which came to a sudden stop. A footmen abruptly announced to the guests in the ballroom that blood had been spilled in the Summerset Gardens. Lord Summerset was enraged at this and gave the order for his men to surround the ballroom and guard all entrances and look for any threats. He ordered the guests to remain calm and not leave the ballroom till he had inspected what had taken place in his gardens. King Hans did not heed this order as he quietly slipped passed the guards and took the entrance that led to the gardens. He cursed himself for he knew his wife was in the gardens and anger swelled within him as he realised how careless he had been not to have noticed after she had been taken aside by her sister.
