Everyone's gaze was on me.
I noticed that Seth had tried to push me away.
Well, I wasn't so shocked by his action since Dav's aura discouraged him from getting closer to me. I couldn't go to Leo since it would be weird holding his hands and there was no way I would go close to Ray, my self-proclaimed enemy.
Wordless, Dav walked up to me and forcefully took my hand away from Seth. There was no emotion in his eyes at that moment, all I saw was possession and he proved that he wouldn't mind hurting me just so no male would touch me.
I drifted my stares over to Seth, he displayed a reaction that I had never seen before. This was the vamp that I had thought would always stand up to Dav but it seemed I was wrong, Dav had shown us that he was still the crown prince who didn't like to share what was his.
Then, I turned my gaze to Ray, he had a smirk on his face while he intensely stared at Dav and my hand.
" Wife, I forbid you from touching any male that isn't me," Dav uttered without care of how embarrassed he sounded at that moment. We all knew that it was Seth he had talked about.
Immediately after his words, Seth zeroed his eyes on Dav. He was displeased by what Dav had said but that was all he could do, to be angry.
" I don't remember that in the deal that your race made with the humans. You shouldn't cage me like your puppet." I tried to stand up to him but he flashed me a stare that was intimidating enough to lower my self-esteem.
I guess this was his true self, surfacing itself again.
I closed my mouth and faced the floor.
" I think I will leave, are you both coming along?"
No way, why would Seth ask such a question? He had just opted to leave but to make the situation more suffocating, he asked for Leo and Ray to tag with him. Of course, they said yes, no one would want to stay with an intimidating personality like Dav.
I gave Seth a pleading look but he was quick enough to cut our eye contact.
Good lord…..
I watched as the three vampires jumped off the building.
" They are gone, you can stop staring." That mesmerizing voice that had managed to make itself annoying echoed as it snapped me out of my trance.
My gaze was now on Dav, whose smile was now brought to his face. I hated that beautiful smile, that smile that belonged to a wolf in sheep's clothing.
Wordless, he wrapped his arms around my waist and drew me closer to himself thereby making me excessively inhale his alcoholic scent.
" Now I can spend time alone with my wife." He blurted out. For a reason, I realized that this was his plan all ahead. He wanted to have me to himself. Then, he should have just said so instead of allowing Seth, Leo, and Ray to waste their time by coming with us.
Well, I wasn't in the mood to wallow in pretense. I placed my palms on the left side of his rib and pushed him away from him. Once again, displeasure was shown on his face as he stared at me.
Knowing how his facial expression would be, I didn't bother to look at him.
" Wife, is anything wrong?" He asked.
To hell with that question, why does he always act oblivious to things around him? He chased Seth away, behaved like a possessive freak, and even spoke to me like a maid, now he was asking if he did anything wrong.
I remained mute while my gaze was still directed to the ground.
An intense silence followed suit, I could feel Dav piercing gaze at me, and in the next second, he stood right in front of me. As expected of him, he brought his forefinger to my chin and raced my face up so I could stare at his face which had surprisingly started to heal.
" Why do I sense anger from my wife?" He asked another question that made my blood boil.
" Maybe, if you give me back my husband, my anger will be quenched off." I immediately cut in on his words.
He gave me a questioning look before diverting his gaze to my lips. It was at that moment I realized that Dav had a great advantage to kiss me.
" What about you, why don't you give me back my submissive wife?" He shamelessly blurted out as he said those words.
I couldn't blame him, that was how they want females to be, submissive and foolish. He wasn't the first male to think like that and he wouldn't be the last. Though it surprised me that the vampires still think like that unlike the humans, who had placed a lot of women in higher positions. I could swear that the only position a female could hold in the vampire territory was either a queen or a princess.
Wordless, I let out an irritable hiss as I tried to push him away from me but he proved to be stronger. Instead, he covered one of my palms with his and brought it to his chest.
" Can you feel it?" He said, yes I could feel a steady heartbeat, I saw nothing special in it " this shows that I am still your husband, whose heart is still beating for you." He added, still staring at my lips.
Cheeky words, that was his specialty.
" Hmm, I thought we came here to check out the vampire territ–"
" You know, we don't call this place vampire territory here, we say Darcuis." He cut in on my words.
No, I didn't know that, I grew up with the name ' vampire territory.' I felt a little bit embarrassed since I have been sprouting the wrong words even in the presence of other vampires.
" Come wife, I have a place to show you." He let go of my face and in one swoop, swept me off the floor and carried me in a bridal style.
" Hold on tightly." With those words, Dav walked to the edge of the building and jumped on a close one.
