Fragment

Seeing the other fragment of greed appear, Ezra was least alarmed, after all, he had expected it. What better time for an enemy to show up than right after a fight?

Ezra had managed to level up three times during this fight, so coupled the souls he had in store, he wasn't the least scared to face his opposition.

"What brings you here?" Since he didn't know the other's name, he could only refer to him however he could.

"Well, how about I tell you a short story first?"

Ezra's eyes twitched as he heard this, but didn't react further.

The other fragment of greed began his story. He told it slowly without haste, creating interesting illustrations, and contrary to what Ezra thought; it wasn't a bad piece of literature. However, the underlying message was not something he found funny at all, not that he wasn't aware already.

"So what you're saying is one of us has to die for the other to truly shine? I was thinking the same thing."
