Diablo's eyes narrowed as a twisted grin spread across his face. Even though he had lost, he knew the worst thing Vincent could do was lock him away.
"What are you planning to do now? You know you can't kill me," he sneered.
Vincent's eyes bore into Diablo, a knowing smirk tugging at the corner of his lips.
In an odd twist, Diablo couldn't shake off a feeling of fear. It was as if Vincent held something in his grasp that had the potential to truly end him.
"You still believe in fate's protection don't you?," he scoffed, shaking his head.
With access to Fenrir's memories now within reach, Vincent had gained a broad understanding of the scenario. He had a general grasp of the gravity of the situation – how significant and swiftly things could shift due to this intricate challenge against Fate.
Before, he had regarded "Fate" merely as a poetic term for destiny.
