Chad v/ Monk

"May I ask why you're looking for me? I am curious as to what business a man of God has with Chad. Tell me, what brings you here?" the thick silhouette asked. Red lines appeared atop his skin as he prepared for battle, already knowing the answer.

Red glowing lines could be easily seen through the thick screen of smoke that was yet to settle. It was as if the two were conversing through a curtain, only able to see an outline, a shadow.

There was no proper answer to those questions, and Atid need not answer his question as the end result was already determined. "A scent, a trail, a hunt," a perfect reply.

Atid could make out a black figure with red lines approaching him. The shadow's velocity increased and increased as he drew closer, and its features became more and more prominent.

And from amidst the screen, a man broke through who could only be described as perfect. A bodily build blessed by the heavens and strength demonic. A ki pool so large, every step, every breath catastrophic. Destructive not only to the world but also to Chad himself.

And with it, a clash and an impact. A shockwave that shook the entire province. An alert to all the sects and citizens. The alert said 'RUN' and 'Evacuate the vicinity'.

Evil is something that endangers other persons' survivability. And even demons stop their evil acts when faced with potential extinction. The people of Murim were but mere humans.

And with this, all the sects mobilized. They had but one objective and that was to do damage control.

Two men had gone off the rails and busted out their limiters and entered a death battle state. The best result would be a resolution before further escalation, but none existed to mediate between the two. Not only was there a lack of powerful people who were qualified to do so, but there was also a lack of bravery and interest.

Thump

Another impact, another shock, another quake.

One after the other, cultivators came to observe the fight as they tried their best to isolate them with seals, talismans, and barriers so that they could fight without harming the people or the lands.

"A fight of this magnitude. It's not something these mortal plains can handle. Someone better get their shit together, or this plane will start to crumble. It will take years to recover from the damage they would do to this," Cao Tang said worriedly as he looked up at the torn-apart clouds and collapsing city walls.

The two stood at the entrance of the hidden toad village as waves of people flooded out from the dark path, as the hidden city had started to cave in. The city could handle earthquakes up to magnitude 7, not ki reverberations from these monsters that knock it up to 8 at least.

*Whoosh*

And there was a cut in the sky. The man cutting through stopped by kicking the air and rushed back in the direction from which he came.

"Oh, thank heavens it was a limiter," a voice echoed.

And the flood of people sighed in relief.

The seer didn't need to ask to know. It was certainly those glowing red lines. And naturally, in a world where people can grow into absurd levels of power, there must have been some limitations put in by the world. It was bound to have some set of laws.

"It's very similar to what immortals have," Liu said as he descended. He was riding on a flying sword.

"We are safe for the time being, but not for long. If this keeps up, we are in trouble," he continued.

"I have no clue what is happening. I step out of the darkness into the chaos. Explain the situation, please," the seer demanded.

"Oh, I thought you thrived in chaos and that it was your way of life," Liu said in a taunting manner as he threw his arms apart and made a lame attempt at a seer imitation.

*Smack*

What looked like a pouch of pebbles was thrown at little Liu.

"Yo, bitch boy, up here," a random cultivator ordered as soon as she had Liu's attention.

Liu went back off for his... whatever it was.

The duo steered through the chaos, unsure of what to do, and the only current goal was to find someplace with no people and peace and quiet.

***Meanwhile***

The giants continued their clash. It was not as if they were not aware of the repercussions that they could have on this world, and both did consider moving onto a higher plane of existence to fight each other. There were higher planes with stronger environments that could handle their clash. But the most power in the mortal plains is still the weakest in a higher plane. So moving was out of the question.

"Giga block!"

Chad blocked the monk's 45 heavenly golden palms.

"Heaven's sutra," the monk chanted.

"Sutra of anguish," and the clouds began to form as his all-white eyes turned all blue.

"May you reincarnate with righteous light."

"Heaven's judgment!"

And a fury of lightning descended upon Chad. The two stood amidst the clouds as the lightning raged among them and closed in on Dominero like a web and an interconnected wave of lightning that breathed.

But, of course, Chad was having none of it.

"Giga slap!"

And he slapped off a lightning bolt. But it didn't help his situation, as the cage of lightning had grown small enough for him to feel the shocks. Lightning struck him continuously until the cage had exhausted itself.

"Acknowledge your doings and stop," the monk spoke up once more, seeing the man had burned and recovering but a little.

"A true man never gives up," the man panted.

"Neither does a true man of God from preaching," the monk responded.

*Bam*

Another impact. More muscles are damaged within their arms. Blood flowed out of the mouth of both and coughed neither. Broken bones and ruptured veins did not affect their postures in the slightest. For All, they cared their spirit veins were healthy and they had more ki in their pool.

The clouds split and broke and dissipated, and new ones surrounded them back up once again. Darker than before with more light in them than before.

"Giga storm!"

And the fight raged on, yet with little hope for an easy end.
