"Ah!" Someone came to use the bathroom and was scared by the scene, screaming in alarm.
John seemed to snap out of his trance, and released his grip on Jane's wrist.
Jane slid down the wall and onto the floor, coughing and gasping for air. Her voice was exaggeratedly loud until she could finally catch her breath. She looked up at John with a cold and piercing gaze.
In his towering and menacing figure, no one dared to say a word.
Alice Garcia rushed over to Jane's side, seemingly concerned, and patted her back to help her breathe. She had been standing there for a while, watching John try to strangle Jane. She was actually happy about it, but someone suddenly yelled, which saved Jane from danger.
"Don't act like you care," Jane pushed Alice Garcia away and leaned against the wall, trembling slightly. The shadow of death still lingered in her mind.
John looked at the pale-faced Jane coldly. His hand that had just been choking her neck trembled. "Come with me."
He grabbed her wrist and dragged her towards the door of the restaurant, then roughly shoved her into the car.
Alice Garcia chased after them, her face filled with anxiety. "Mr. John, even if Jane did something wrong, it doesn't warrant death. Please let her go."
She looked at Jane with a loving gaze, like an elder sister.
John ignored her and slammed the car door shut. "Drive."
Brian, who was sitting in the driver's seat, was a bit confused. Wasn't Mr. John just eating with Miss Alice Garcia? How did Jane come into the picture?
Moreover, Mr. John's face was extremely ugly and frightening.
He quickly started the engine and asked cautiously, "Mr. John, where to?"
Through the rearview mirror, he could see Jane looking nervous and scared, pulling the car door constantly and wanting to jump out of the car at any moment.
Mr. John looked at her coldly, his eyes exuding a chilling and sinister aura.
"The company." Mr. John replied coldly.
Jane panicked and turned her head to glare at him. "I don't want to go to the John family."
Mr. John now resembled a wild beast that had gone mad. She was afraid of falling into his territory and being killed without anyone noticing. She couldn't even open the car door.
"Brian, unlock the car door." She pleaded with Brian, but Brian was Mr. John's man and didn't listen to her.
She bit her lip tightly, curled up in fear.
The John Family Building is very close from here, just a five-minute drive away. John was like a tyrant, pulling her out of the car and taking the dedicated elevator from the underground parking lot to the top floor.
He didn't wait for Brian, and the elevator only had the two of them.
Jane felt like she had entered a tiger's den, with her nerves stretched tight all over her body, and she could hardly look John in the eye.
The elevator was steady and fast, and before she knew it, they had reached the top floor. As soon as the elevator doors opened, he grabbed her wrist and pulled her out again. "What do you want to do?"
Surprisingly, the elevator stopped not at the CEO's office level, but at the rooftop. John was incredibly strong and effortlessly pushed her to the edge of the roof. With just a little force, he could push her off!
Jane widened her eyes in terror, her panicked gaze fixed on John. His face was as cold as water, with dark clouds covering it, and his eyes were filled with killing intent, as if he really wanted to kill her.
"John, please snap out of it. What did I do wrong? Do you want to kill me?" She shouted at him in terror, not daring to turn her head. After all, John's family building had 88 floors, and falling from there would undoubtedly result in a grisly death.
