Heartless woman(1)

As soon as they heard they were all going to be fired, the five production assistants became anxious. One of the oldest among them suddenly pointed at the head of production and said, "It's him! I saw him use a knife to cut the rope of Oliver Ford's rigging."

The head of production angrily denied it. "I didn't do it, you're talking nonsense!"

The accuser said firmly, "It was you, I'm sure of it."

Seeing the accuser hesitate, Jane took him aside and found out that he was worried. It turned out that the head of production was used to taking advantage of others and suppressing them, and he was afraid of retaliation for accusing him. "But I have no choice. My mother was diagnosed with colon cancer recently and needs surgery, and I have to support my child. I can't suddenly lose my job."

Jane nodded sympathetically. "Are you sure it was the head of production who cut the rope?"

The accuser nodded. "I...I have video evidence." He saw that Jane was kind and approachable, even though she was the assistant director, and didn't act superior. Her attitude made him feel safe, so he took out the secretly recorded video.

Jane watched the video carefully and saw the head of production using a knife to cut the rigging of Oliver Ford's equipment. "Thank you."

She called the director over, and after watching the video, the director was furious. The head of production was fired on the spot. Knowing that the situation was hopeless, he didn't make a scene and just looked around the set before his gaze settled on Lisa.

Lisa warned him with a glare before she stormed into the break room. It seemed that the production crew couldn't stand it anymore, and he had to pack up and leave.

Jane noticed the eye contact between the head of production and Lisa before he left, so she followed him and asked, "Who told you to do this?"

The head of production sneered, "I don't know what you're talking about."

He grabbed his belongings and walked away.

Jane followed him. "You have no grudges against Oliver Ford, why would you want to hurt him? Someone must have instructed you."

The head of production ignored her.

"Was it Lisa, Alice Garcia's agent? Did she tell you to do it?"

The head of production turned around impatiently and gave Jane a fierce glare. "Are you annoying me? I'm not part of this production anymore."

He got into his car and left quickly.

Jane stood still for a while, then went to find Alice Garcia.

Alice Garcia was in the makeup room touching up her makeup. When she saw Jane, she smiled and said, "Jane, are you here to visit again?"

Jane glanced around the makeup room. Alice Garcia only played the third female lead, but she had the biggest scene and took up more space than the female lead, while Kevin Flores was squeezed into a corner holding a mirror to do his makeup. Unfortunately, even with the best resources, Alice Garcia was still the ugliest and least charismatic.

"I came to visit my cousin." Jane came to Alice Garcia's side and glanced at Lisa, who was known in the industry for being shrewd and good at plotting for Alice Garcia. "It seems that having a good agent is especially important. They can take care of some dirty work for you."

Alice Garcia looked puzzled and looked towards Jane for clarification. "Jane, it doesn't sound right to say that. Agents are also people. How can we let them do bad things?"

Jane sneered.

The general manager obviously took bribes and was very tight-lipped. She couldn't find any evidence against Alice Garcia. "I was just talking nonsense."

After leaving the makeup room, Jane checked the time and rushed to the airport to pick someone up.

As she was about to get into her car and leave, two crazy women suddenly appeared out of nowhere and grabbed her, crying and wailing, "You wicked woman, give me back my handsome son. Give him back to me."

A woman in her fifties or sixties grabbed Jane's arm and wouldn't let her get into the car, screaming at the top of her lungs.
