Through the intricate wrought-iron gate, Jane saw the dimly lit John mansion. She got out of the car and rang the doorbell, but it took a while for someone to answer. When the servant recognized her, he immediately showed a disdainful look and said, "Mrs. John has said that Miss Jane cannot enter the John mansion after the divorce."
Jane was anxious for jill's condition, but she still remained calm. "I received a call from jill, she said she wasn't feeling well, I just came to check on her."
The servant replied sarcastically, "Miss jill is being taken care of by a professional, she is doing well. You don't need to find excuses to bother the John family. You can't just enter the John mansion as you please."
A surge of anger rushed to Jane's head. She got back into the car, turned on the high beams, and the strong light made it hard for the servant to keep his eyes open. In the bright white light, he heard the roar of the engine and instinctively stepped aside.
With a loud crash, Jane drove the car straight through the gate! She drove all the way to the front door of the mansion, turned off the engine, and got out of the car. She immediately saw jill standing alone on the porch in her nightgown. Her heart ached. "jill--"
She hugged jill and felt her burning with fever. Her face was abnormally red, and although she was obviously very ill, she still wanted to stay away from Jane. "Mom, jill is sick and doesn't want to infect you."
Jane felt heartbroken and her eyes started to water. "It's okay, Mom's not afraid."
She decisively picked up jill and put her in the back seat. "Sit tight, jill, Mom will take you to the hospital."
Jill struggled but refused to go. Her small, red face was full of concern. "It won't work like this. Grandma will be angry when she comes back."
She was already very happy that her mother came to see her.
If she went with her mother, her grandmother would definitely be angry!
Jane felt terrible. "Your grandmother is just an old witch. We don't need to be afraid of her, okay?"
She comforted jill and hugged her tightly, forcing back the tears in her eyes. Her child needed her, and she couldn't back down when it mattered most!
Through the intricately designed wrought iron gates, Jane could see the dimly lit John estate. She got out of the car and rang the doorbell, but no one came for a while. When someone finally appeared and recognized her, they immediately sneered, "Mrs. John said that Miss Jane is not allowed to enter the John estate after the divorce."
Jane was worried sick about Jill's condition, but she remained calm and replied, "I received a call from Jill. She said she was not feeling well, and I just came to check on her."
The servant retorted in a sarcastic tone, "Miss Jill has a dedicated caregiver. She is doing well now. You don't need to find excuses to bother the John estate. You can't just enter whenever you want."
Jane felt a surge of blood to her head. She got back into her car, turned on the high beams, and drove straight into the gate, crashing it open with a loud bang.
As she reached the front porch of the main house, she saw Jill standing alone in her sleepwear. Her face was abnormally red, and she was burning up with fever. Jane hugged Jill tightly, telling her that she was taking her to the hospital.
But Jill hesitated, worried that her grandmother would be angry if she left with her mother. Jane comforted her, assuring her that they didn't have to be afraid of her grandmother.
The two of them shared a tearful smile before getting into the car. The servants, who had gathered around them, mocked them for their audacity and disrespect for the John estate. But Jane paid no heed to them and drove away smoothly.
Meanwhile, John had just finished dinner with Vivian West when his phone rang. It was a panicked voice telling him that Jane had barged into the John estate and taken Jill away.
John's expression turned icy cold as he hung up and tried calling Jane, but she didn't answer. He then called Brian to track her down, and five minutes later, he received a call back saying that Jane was at the city hospital.
