Severe Consequences

Of course, while we were "resting" in the shade, Ember and I were already busy doing remote work.

During the preparation stage of teleportation, Ember had already left a marker on all living beings that were included in her range. Using those markers, we kept track of their movements and teleported those who were about to get injured or had already gotten injured.

After all, there are just two of us, and there are over three million residents. Even if we divide it equally, that's still over a million markers each! It's hard to keep watch and teleport them only right before they get injured.

Fortunately, the demons only breached a total of three points, so the number of residents getting attacked in one instant was limited.

"Here they come..."

I warned Ember as soon as I saw the same energy signatures before rushing toward our location. As expected, it was the old man with the tall crown, panting hard with his face turning blue.
