Something's Wrong!

We didn't have time to waste, so as soon as we said goodbye to the elders, we turned around, planning to head back.

"Wait, Will. Let us accompany you out, at least."

Queen Tala suddenly suggested. Finding it hard to refuse their goodwill, we decided to follow their lead.

All six elders, queens of each race of the fairy world, led us back out of the Elemental Chambers before teleporting in one go, reaching a slightly nostalgic place in an instant.

A wide lake, serene and verdant, with thick forests covering it on all sides, and various animals frolicking by the lakeside. It feels like it's been months since we saw this scenery, but it's barely been a week since we came here.

"So, you're really going back...?"

Elder Alma frowned, a slight sadness visible in her eyes.

"I haven't even..."

She whispered under her breath, causing me to tilt my head in curiosity.

"Haven't what?"

"N-Nothing."

"Hmm?"
