Ten Years of Separation (5)

The next 40 days after that were hectic.

One after another, the girls went into labor. Thankfully, since Ember was gaining more experience as a midwife and helped each time, the process became smoother and less painful with every birth.

It was a bit embarrassing that I was the only one who wasn't improving at all.

Every time one of the girls went into labor, I turned into a panicked mess. The worst moment came when both Minerva and Hekate went into labor at the same time. I felt faint, shaking like a newborn fawn in worry.
