The Circle is Complete

Time had barely passed, so Ember was still far from done drawing.

Demons kept attacking from all directions, so we didn't have the luxury to drop our guard either.

With no time to waste, I quickly returned to my task.

Fang, too, dragged the little girls and boys away, moving to clear one section on their own. Their teamwork and determination made for quite the spectacle.

Ember and I continued drawing as per Primo's instructions—complex patterns, intricate lines, and precise arcs, every mark drawn to perfection.

I'm not an expert on magic circles, but I could sense the purpose behind this one as I laid down the symbols. It helped that I'd been using a variation of it myself for some time now.

"This isn't time reversal... but Causality Exchange."

Functionally, it would still roll back time—returning things to a previous state of one's choosing. But it came at an immense cost, enough to drain the power of one or two entire sanctuaries.
