Crazy!

After Elena declared that, she attempted to make her way over to one of the people next to her, Rowan, her intentions clear from the smirk on her face. However, she ended up hitting an invisible wall, rebounding back a few steps.

With a frown, she backed up further before suddenly rushing forth like a rampaging bull.

A thundering crash resounded, though the result was the same, with Elena falling down. She clicked her tongue before standing up and crossing her arms once more.

"...I guess we have to play house then. Whatever, you guys figure it out."

Rowan let out a small sigh, rubbing the side of his head for a few moments.

"For starters, we should sort out the information we do have. The only thing we can confirm for sure right now is who cannot be the Naive and the Paranoid, since their results are unconditionally good or bad."

Caden, Malik, and Lily could not be the Paranoid because of their resulting innocent investigation.

Similarly, Jack, Rowan, and Elena could not be the Naive because of their resulting guilty investigation.

Lily pouted slightly before letting out a sigh and rubbing the side of her head.

"This is really confusing. What if we just have the trapper reveal themselves, then we will all chip in slightly to reimburse them for the loss? That way all of us would win, no?"

A few moments of silence lingered between them. Eventually, it was Malik who spoke up disgruntled.

"It was a good try, but realistically nobody would be able to trust a bunch of random strangers to reimburse them. Besides, it sounds like the punishment doesn't extend to only losing your cards."

Lily put a finger on her chin and raised an eyebrow.

"Does that mean it's you?"

Malik let out a sigh, holding his hand out rather helplessly.

"What? Only the idiots wouldn't understand that. The fact you're even questioning me is suspicious in itself."

Elena's brow twitched. Her expression shifted slightly for a moment as though she were offended, but didn't say anything in the end. Lily raised her hand almost to her mouth and let out a giggle.

"Is that what you think?"

Another tense and awkward silence lingered. Eventually, Caden spoke up once more.

"Regardless, the information we have now isn't going to be enough to tell anybody's role conclusively. For starters, we should plan the person we are going to investigate so that we have every person's record of investigation on that specific person. This will prevent the Unbiased and the Fool from investigating different people and getting the same answer, making them easier to distinguish."

He spoke slowly without much vigor behind them. However, he followed through extremely logically, making the best possible decisions.

Jack clapped a few times happily after hearing that.

"Hopefully we can all investigate the killer!"

Elena clicked her tongue, looking over at him disdainfully.

"And how would that help at all? It's not like we'll be able to tell from their results that it's them."

Rowan spoke up, almost as though taking revenge for her attempting to charge over and beat him down.

"Actually, that would help. We still have three rounds of investigation before we make a choice. If two of them are innocent and one is guilty, it would be fairly easy to figure out who the Unbiased and the Fool are. From there, the killer would simply be who the Unbiased found as guilty. Though I doubt the kid thought that far."

Caden let out a sigh and placed his cupped fists in front of him, like some sort of formal gesture.

"Enough. We can leave the most important discussion for the last day. Doing it before then just gives the actual trapper more information that will make this harder. Though with that in mind, we should all agree to investigate the person who we believe is most suspicious, other than people who already investigated them and obviously the person themselves."

Elena let out a grunt before looking over at Rowan.

"Then we should investigate armless over here then, no? He's obviously the most desperate one and the most likely to try and win out of all of us."

Rowan rolled his eyes, not bothering to glance at her.

"And we should avoid investigating Elena since she's clearly too much of a blockhead to keep up any sort of act."

Elena ran up and slammed the invisible barrier between the two of them, glowering at him.

"Hahh? I wonder if you'd still be so cocky if there wasn't a wall protecting you!"

Caden raised a hand, which was meek, but quieted them down nonetheless.

"We can leave the fighting for later. In the first place, whether or not there's a time limit is unclear. Although we do wish to pick the trapper to investigate, the best we can do with our information at the end of the day is a guess, or reading faces, so it doesn't really matter. For starters, everyone except for Rowan, investigate me, since you've already done so."

Rowan gave a nod and looked over.

"So then who should we investigate?"

Caden shrugged his shoulders.

"Since I already chose, why don't you choose one as well? After that, we'll just let the person you chose take their turn to make the choice if we don't have enough conclusive evidence."

Rowan gave a nod and began surveying everyone before landing on Jack.

"Let's do the kid then."

In response to being chosen, Jack let out an excited giggle as though he was chosen to be the winner.

"Yay!"

Caden took a deep breath and looked around.

"Alright, that's all the preparations. Is there anything else anybody wants to say?"

A moment of silence lingered. Then, before anything else could happen, the lights suddenly went out. Jack was once again presented with a table and a few hovering cards. The 3 of diamonds was floating and slowly turning, revealing the trapper on the other side.

Jack then went to turn over the card that represented Caden, the 4 of spades. Once again, he had gotten Trapper as his result. He thought over it for a while, staring at the now two hovering cards.

He obviously wasn't the Naive, but also couldn't be the Unbiased, since there would at most be one guilty result. From there, it was a toss-up with the remaining three.

A few moments later, everything lit up once more.

Caden cracked his neck and put one hand on his shoulder.

"Alright, everybody report their findings once more. I found Jack innocent."

"I found him guilty."

Caden found Jack innocent and Rowan found him guilty.

"The result was innocent for the one speaking the most."

Malik found Caden innocent.

"It told me he was guilty!"

Jack found Caden guilty.

"Stickman is guilty for me."

Elena found Caden guilty.

"Oh, he was innocent for me!"

Lily found Caden innocent.

Caden had three reports of being guilty, while two of them were innocent. He pinched his nose bridge, thinking for a little while.

"Since both my investigations turned out as innocent, while the majority of the investigations on me are guilty, means that I'm most likely the Naive or the Unbiased."

Lily raised a finger.

"Under the assumption you aren't the trapper."

"Yes. Under that assumption. Regardless, this is more or less the worst case scenario since everybody has had the same investigation result. The Crazy ended up getting the same as last time, while the Trapper also stated the same answer."

Rowan narrowed his eyes slightly.

"The first two were bound not to give much information anyway. There are still two more chances, that's when the cracks will start to reveal themselves."

Elena scratched the side of her head.

"Huh... just tell me who I should look at next. I don't get all this stuff."

Caden took a deep breath.

"This is going to get a little complicated, but those that haven't investigated Jack should do so. Otherwise, we will follow his next choice."

Jack slowly turned his head until he made eye contact with Lily, just like a robot.

"Let's investigate Lily next!"

In response, she clapped a few times.

"Alright! But I've already investigated Jack, so should I choose someone else since I can't investigate myself?"

Caden let out a small sigh.

"Yeah. Since Jack already investigated you, he will also follow your choice."

Lily scanned everyone, thinking for a little while. She then put her hands together, tilting her head to the side while a smile formed on her face.

"Then why don't we do Malik?"

The lights shut off once more, even more abruptly than last time.

In the darkness, Jack looked at the table and didn't do anything for a good while. After silently thinking to himself, he let out a small hum.

"Is it Lily?... or Caden?"

He shook his head.

"I can think about that later..."

He flipped over the 5 of hearts, representing Malik.

It showed Hunter.

"Hehe, it looks like I'm the Crazy!"
