'Breath in... breath out..... breath in... breath out.....'

Slowly, I opened my eyes again. My heart was beating faster because of this strange feeling. As soon as I opened my eyes, I was once again stunned but in a totally inverse way. A dry dark coloured mountain with no signs of life, barren land, and heavy air.

Visible small cracks ran through the land, and a purple coloured gas came out of the cracks. No matter where I looked, I couldn't see anything other than dark mountains and barren lands. Soon a large withered tree caught my attention, I couldn't help but recall a horror movie scene.

'Where am I ?'

'What the hell is happening?'

This time I couldn't control myself, the atmosphere was too spooky and this utter silence didn't help at all.

'Stay calm.. stay calm.. stay calm.. everything's fine stay calm.. stay calm.. '

Huff.. Huff..

I cooled myself down with a deep breathe and as if to pour cold water on my hopes, suddenly a digital screen appeared before my eyes and started talking in an emotionless tone

My mind started running at full speed to grasp this situation. There's no point in thinking all the other things. I need to go with the flow to figure out something.

'There are only two minutes.'

'I have to choose a weapon carefully.'

'I don't know how to use any weapon.'

'Characters in the novel mostly use a sword or spear as their main weapon.'

'Using a spear feels uncomfortable because of its length.'

' I think short sword will do.'

' Nah, let's try daggers.'

' They are more comfortable and easy to use.'

' Wow this is a real dagger.'

A cool looking pair of daggers with a nice grey coloured handle appeared in my hands.

I swung my dagger two to three times to get the hang of it. How should I say it? It's quite similar to a knife except it's weight and length. I should be fine with this.

' It's simple and lightweight.'

Then suddenly, a howl of a wolf reverberated throughout the entire dark mountain

Howl.. howl..

A chill run down my spine after hearing that howl and my heart started beating faster.

[ Kill the mutated wolf in 15 minutes to pass the trial ]

[ Failure : Death ]

A deep red coloured wolf with crimson eyes appeared near the withered tree. It's sharp fangs looked like razor blades that can cut through anything. A tight muscular body and deep red coloured fur added more to his ferociousness.

Gulp..

' I have to kill that thing?'

As soon as my eyes meet crimson wolf, my ears went deaf, and my mind blanked for a second. My heart beat became even faster and my throat went dry.

' Focus.. focus... stay calm.. stay calm..'

' A wolf can attack with its mouth or claw.'

' Wolf's speed is its greatest advantage.'

' Looking at it's skin I think I can cut through with enough force.'

' Eyes are its greatest weakness, I should focus on attacking them.'

' Those fangs and claws are dangerous I need to be careful of them.'

' As for finishing blow I need to aim for either its heart or head.'

' Attacking head won't be a problem but I think it will be hard to cut through, then heart it is .'

I got into a normal stance, one dagger to parry it's attack and the other to attack.
