Entering Dream Realm

Lei Wei, feeling the rejection of his powers, wore a surprised expression and couldn't understand why it was happening in the first place.

Chen Zoe, not sensing any pain or changes in his body, grew anxious and asked, "What happened? Did you succeed in erasing it?"

Lei Wei, trying to buy time, replied, "No..."

Perplexed, Chen Zoe inquired, "Why?"

"Don't you have any humanity left in your heart? Can't you see this poor dragon's condition? I need some time to regain my energy…" Hiding the fact that, his powers weren't working on Zoe. Lei Wei tried to gain some time to find a solution. He also put forward a request, showing his weak side by coughing up more blood to gain sympathy. "In the meantime, can you help me with something else?"

Unconvinced, Chen Zoe responded, "Let's hear it first; then I will decide whether to help you or not." He maintained his composure and waited for an explanation.

Lei Wei's request was related to Yuzhen, who had been lying unconsciously on the stone floor due to excess demonic energy that he had consumed. Because of it effects, Yuzhen's soul had been wandering around the dream realm, unable to find an exit.

If the situation continues, the destructive power that Lei Wei had been suppressing in Yuzhen's body would quickly be wear out and it would permanently take over Yuzhen's soul and body. Then the world's destruction wasn't too far.

"What exactly do you want from me? You've seen that my power only makes things worse." Zoe tried to explain his situation.

"I'm not asking you to pour your energy into him, instead I want you to enter his dream and show him the path to return." Pointing out what he exactly wants from Chen Zoe, Lei Wei looked at Zoe with hope in his eyes.

"Have you gone mad? How can a human enter someone's dream? It's impossible..."

Lei Wei tried to convince him. "I can help you. I know it sounds strange to ask a human for help to save a dragon. But you need to understand, if Yuzhen doesn't wake up or dies here, it won't just affect our realm, but all three realms will be in danger."

Not getting a positive response, Lei Wei continued, ""If only you hadn't let Yuzhen come here, none of this would have happened.

In my current state, I can only last a few more days. After that, we will be able to see the world's destruction... "

'Why is he speaking like this all was my fault? If I had known this was about to happen, I wouldn't have come here in the first place.' [Zoe]

"Stop…stop… I will do it," Zoe pleaded, managing to halt Lei Wei from killing him with his words. "But what exactly do I have to do?"

Realizing that he had finally hit the target, Lei Wei explained.

"Currently, Yuzhen's soul was trapped inside the dream realm. As a dragon's companion, you can enter his dream without any problem.

However, the dream realm is a dangerous place. Anything can happen inside there, because the world inside there was built by the deepest desires or regrets the one carries.

So, you need to be careful. Without alerting anything, just find him and take him back.

The red thread will help you enter Yuzhen's dream. Once you find Yuzhen, follow the thread tied to your hand to locate the exit." Lei Wei explained as he secured the red thread around Yuzhen's and Zoe's hands. He then continued, "Take this pendant. If you encounter any difficult situations, it will definitely come in handy. I mean it will protect you from any danger. However, be aware that it can only be used three times, no more."

Chen Zoe lay next to Yuzhen, their hands bound together by a red thread. Lei Wei chanted an incantation, and Zoe slowly fell into a slumber.

Before long, he regained consciousness and found himself in a place somewhat similar to where he had encountered the real Chen Zoe.

However, this time, the place was filled with flowers, the kind that made anyone wish to stay there for a lifetime.

"Now I understand why he doesn't want to wake up. But where is he? Did I end up in some other place?" Anxiously speaking to himself, Zoe looked around, unable to spot Yuzhen.

Suddenly, a few fireflies appeared from nowhere and surrounded him, guiding him in a specific direction. Following their gentle glow, he found himself standing in front of a large cave. Inside, he discovered a grave with the inscription "Xuan Yu."

The person's final resting place was adorned with a bundle of vibrant red flowers, someone having placed them there with care. For some reason, Zoe felt drawn to the flowers, and his hands moved instinctively to pick one from the bundle.

Suddenly, the atmosphere turned black behind him. Darkness shrouded the area, and unsure of what was happening, he anxiously looked around. Then, he felt a warm wind coming from behind, accompanied by an eerie sound.

Slowly turning around, he was startled to see two large golden eyes watching him, and the fire that was about to come out from its mouth. Only one word escaped his mouth at that moment. "D-Dragon..." Before he could think of a way to escape, the dragon spewed fire on Zoe.
