But it seemed like Gamaliel can't leave anything that is related to Fern. She was just the perfect role model for him, they were both in the same field.

Gamaliel had been wondering what he would end up to with his course that he is taking right now. But arriving here in this municipality gave him a glimpse of hope; Fern finished the same course as him.

So certainly, there are a lot of things that he can learn from her.

It was Friday now again and he can't go home this weekend because he wants to join the trip that was organized by Fern and with the other organization including Sir Yohan's school or perhaps class.

Yes, it was Friday but he still didn't ask why she was gone last Monday. He can't certainly ask because its personal but he was just intrigued.

They were just pretty much preparing for the trip tomorrow. They were preparing feedback papers and any other things, but it's pretty much a relaxed day for all of them.

He managed to enter the other office to just be with his school mates and one of the supervisor, the oldest employee of this building is there in her office just doing her thing. With a careful planning, he weaved a lot of question and everything for them to reach the topic on why Fern did not enter last Monday.

"Oh, so it was this week. I totally forgot about it", Ma'am Benita said

"What week ma'am?", he asked earnestly hoping for a clear definite answer now.

"Oh, I don't know, she just keeps this day a holiday to herself. I don't know the exact reason",

She replied as if it's nothing to her. But its true its nothing to her and it should be nothing to him as well.

"ah, okay", he said and said to himself.

All of them met up first at the municipal ground. There were at least a hundred of them composing of military personnel as it was quite mountainous to where they are going, a group of students led by Yohan, municipal officers, and them from the municipal library department.

It was an enjoyable group of people, the perfect mix. But Yohan was quite confuse if his mind just got mixed up; for or any unknown reason he was interested on the interaction between Ma'am Fern and Sir Yohan. And then nothing happened, he was disappointed.

Sir Yohan's lane is just right next to us, and in a way they should way in front of our group since it was the only way. All of the students came passed first and then Sir Yohan. I was ready to say at least hello when he would look towards us. But he just walked passed us, Ma'am Fern is way in front to be unnoticed and not way too small to be out of his sight, it was just nothing.

It was not even unintentional, he looked at her, then us but no smile or hello came out of his mouth. Even more amazingly is Ma'am Fern never changed her expression also upon seeing him. She looked at the students first, she looked at him, and then nothing else. Nothing happened, that really confused me. It just impossible. So maybe I was just mistaken.

It was not my first time coming in this trip, I did it several times; but it would always be refreshing. Because I deal with different people on every trip. It was mountainous so I like it that much, it is adventurous and has an amazing story behind it. I first came here when I was in college, that was the first encounter. It's one of our subject that we should find a tourist spot that has a story that had never been shown in television.

That was just it back then but it also became a reason why I should be always present in this trip. It's been my job now to tell the story. I said different people in every trip except of course, there's Yohan he had been in this trip for times, the fifth time now maybe. And thus we had practiced it now perfectly, it's not our intention to snub each other but it seemed like we both want it that way.

We both don't want attention and we both want our privacy, our privacy that we shared before and the privacy that we want to keep even until now.

Fern and I never intended to ignore each other every time we met outside, or with people around us but it seemed like it was this way that we were both comfortable. We didn't talk about on how we would execute this but it just did. I don't have a problem with it since I would just watch over the students and make sure that they listen.

But out of nowhere I would want so see her like behind the scenes, I would always listen and look at her during her story time so I want to see how, if she had at least tripped.

We never actually went here with just the two of us as a hiking trip. We only come here in this place when it's a hiking trip.

I always liked hiking but it will always be difficult the climb the first time. It was challenging so I like it. I quite enjoy it. Since my group mates our department is enjoying it. And since it's my first time I don't know how to lead the group that's why I decided to be on the back line. And the following group is the group of Sir Yohan, weird, or I just don't know.

I don't know if I'm going to say my greetings to him since we practically know each other, we know each other's name. So then;

"Sir Yohan, I didn't know you would be coming", I said to start our conversation.

He smiled coldly with a hmmm, a smile that was freakishly cool. Even though I knew I just embarrassed myself since we both knew I saw him earlier.

He was about to answer me when,

"Gamaliel", said a familiar voice to both of us.

Apparently my group mate had been calling me but maybe I ignored it or didn't heard it that's why Ma'am Fern just approached me in my line, but was flustered when she saw another familiar face.
