Miss Daniella was starting to get worried, it was almost dark and their was still no sign of Billy. Amy on the other hand couldn't stop imagining about all the dirty things Billy and Olivia could be doing that would be keeping out so late. They heard a knock on the door, and Daniella quickly rushed to open the door.
"Bill_ John didn't expect you'd make it so early this time" she stared at him in bewilderment.
She found herself in a daze as she gawked at the neat dressing of her ex husband. He was still as charming as ever. His platinum blonde hockey style hair was still as mesmerizing as before.
"Guess am just trying to better myself" he said gesturing to the rose flowers he was holding.
She took gently the flowers from him with a clear feeling of uncertainty and uneasiness.
"May I come in?" He politely asked.
"Yeah sure. Come in" She promptly said as she walked inside while he coolly followed behind her.
"Daddy!!" Amy shouted excitedly as she ran up to him and jumped on him like a little kid.
"Hey sweetie" He mumbled as he embraced his daughter warmly.
"Where's your brother?" He suddenly asked after a few moments.
"He left a while ago, but he'll be back soon" Daniella sharpy answered before Amy could utter a word.
The last thing she wanted was for him to find a reason to call her incompetent. She wished the whole arrangement would be over as soon as possible.
"Why don't you guys take a sit while I prepare dinner" She said huskily as she quickly went into the kitchen.
The front door suddenly swung open and Billy walked in, his face was slightly bruised, Hugh slowly emerged after him.
"Oh my goodness. My baby what happened to your face?" Daniella quickly rushed to check on her son.
"It's nothing mom. Hugh was there to help me out" He grumbled lightly.
"Look at your face. Tell me, who's the scum that did this?" She pressed on.
"Don't worry about it mum. Besides I bet they be in a worse condition than I am right now. Thanks to this my ninja fella" He jokingly said as he flashed Hugh a proud smile.
Everyone turned to look at their son's saviour, whom had been quietly standing behind him. Hugh became a bit nervous by all the sudden stares.
"Oh didn't see you there. Mr eeh..?"
"Hugh. Hugh Trail" He whispered coolly.
"Aah. Well thanks Hugh for looking out for my Baby" She said as she held her hand out for a handshake.
He slowly stared at his bloodied hands and then returned his gaze to the young woman's face. She understood the situation and calmly retreated her hand.
"Where can I wash my hands?"
"Yeah um. the bathroom is over there. Amy will guide you" She stammered slightly as she gestured for her daughter to assist.
He simply nodded calmly as Amy walked over and took him through the stairs as they made their way into the guest bathroom. He noticed how weirdly the blonde man had been staring at him as he walked to the bathroom.
"Alright. It's right here" Amy cheerfully said as she gestured to the bathroom.
"Cool" He whispered casually as he entered into the bathroom.
She seemed wanted to say something but else, but he slammed the door before she could utter a word. After a few minutes he came out from the bathroom. He wanted to head home as soon as he could. But as he came down from the stairs, he noticed the whole Cruse family were seated on the dining, as their meals were untouched.
«Fuck it!. Looks like they were waiting for me» He cursed inwardly.
"Come join us Hugh" Invited Daniella with a cheerful smile.
"Ugh. No I can't. I've got something to do at home" He gently declined.
"Nonsense. Come sit with us boy" Persuaded John as he flashed him a suspicious stare.
"Yeah dude quit actin' all gloomy and come have dinner with us" Added Billy with a bright smile on his face.
Amy could only giggle as she watched while he submissively agreed and sat close to her.
He stared at the fine cooked spaghetti with large meatballs, and suddenly remembered it had been long since he had a nice meal.
"Amy do you mind?" Daniella gestured for her to lead in prayer.
"Bless us oh lord for this meal which we are about to receive through Christ our lord.."
"Amen!" They all chorused in unison. Except for him.
His eyes were still wide open, as he blankly stared at all of them. He once believed that their was a transcendental entity out there controlling the world and all. But after he lost both parents, he started to think otherwise. However after the paranormal things he had been witnessing, he came to the conclusion that the supernatural existed, but they were not exactly as people made them out to be. They were no gods, just superior beings with extra ordinary abilities.
"So. Your not a Christian?" Daniella suddenly asked after they were done with the prayers.
"No..." He nonchalantly replied as he stuffed in a spoon full of the spaghetti into his mouth.
"And why is that?" She asked with a slight tone of irritation.
"Mom. Cut it out" Chided Billy as he noticed the rising tension.
"It's alright Billy" Whispered Hugh as he waved for him to keep calm.
"My mother was a true devoted christan" He suddenly said.
"She gave me this" He mumbled as he gently brought out a chaplet from his hood pocket.
"Said it'll keep me safe so long as I believed. But it didn't keep her safe though. She died in a car crash, her body was so mangled that we could barely recognize her and it worsened my dad's condition. I had to babysit him for these last years before his death" He paused to catch his breath and finally added.
"So you ask me why am not a Christian Mrs Daniella. Maybe it's cause I don't wanna end up like my mom. But i still like to think she's the reason am still alive"
The atmosphere was filled with uneasiness a as everyone to became awfully quiet. They all had their faces on their plates as they ate in silence. He was the only one who seemed unaffected as he greedily munched on the spaghetti. He had tried so hard to comport himself, but the food was too good, besides it had been long he had a great meal.
"If it's of any comfort I also lost my parents at a young age" John who had been oddly quiet calmly whispered.
He simply nodded gently and as he continued with his eating.
"I'm so sorry Hugh. It must've been very hard for you. if you ever feel alone, know that our door is always open for you. Okay?" Offered Daniella with a hint of guilt in her words.
"Thanks, but I'd rather be alone" He blatantly declined.
"Dude you've got to stop being so edgy" Billy suddenly muttered.
He casually replied with a simple smile and continued eating. After the meal, Daniella served them a large chocolate chips brownie as dessert. It's enticing aroma was addictive, but he declined, claiming he was already full.
"Can I use the bathroom again before I leave?" He calmly requested.
"Oh yeah sure. Feel free to help yourself out" She said gleefully.
He gently stood up from his seat and quickly rushed into the bathroom. He had started to feel the same strange overwhelming energy, with he felt during the Gentleman's death. He was feeling a weird burning sensation on his tattoos, so he quickly took off his clothes and carefully checked his tattoos to know if their were glowing. Strangely it wasn't, so he began to wear his shirt. When all of a sudden, the door swung open.
Amy froze and her eyes widened in shock on what she saw. He was totally different from her expectations, a perfectly sculptured abs and chest, like that of a Greek god. Though that was the least of what she'd noticed. It was mainly his strange tattoos.
It was littered all over his body and worse she couldn't understand what the symbols meant. She had a little butterfly tattoo on her upper hip, she had intentionally put it there to avoid her mum from noticing. So she knew a bit about tattoos. She'd seen lots of it but his own was entirely different.
"What are you doing here?" He questioned while trying to suppress his anxiety.
He didn't attempt to cover his body, since he knew she'd seen everything. But he had to make sure no one else found out. He walked past her and locked the guestroom door, then turned to her once more.
"What are yo_"
"Shsssh" She quickly silenced him by placing a finger on his lips.
"I know..your from a gang" She whispered quietly to him.
«Huh?. Gang?» He mused confusedly.
"Don't worry your secret is safe with me" She said smiling mischievously.
He quickly shook her hand off and adjusted himself, as he hastily began to wear his cloth.
"Can I take a closer peek" she suddenly asked as she drew closer to him and slightly tugging his shirt, while staring with curious eyes.
"Not a chance" He whispered as he slapped her hand away.
But he was preplexed when she touched his skin. She trailed the tattoos on his chest.
"Wha..what are you doing?"
"I've never seen anything like this" she said ignoring his question.
Her hands started trailing his lower abs, she had only intended to check on him, but damn he was irresistibly hot.
His muscles tensed up as he tried his best to stay calm, but she hopped over like a kid on halloween, and suddenly grabbed him by the hair. As she pulled his face closer to hers and kissed him passionately. He was stunned, her lips were really soft and felt really good and for a moment he was distracted. As he felt her tongue click against his teeth and surprisingly he let her in. They exchanged saliva and she led his hand to her aching boobs. He felt how hard her nipple was, she was really horny. An overwhelming pleasure rose within her chest as she felt butterflies fly around her tummy. They were both panting breathlessly as she finally released his lips. She leaned closely once more and softly whispered a question to his ear.
"Wanna try somethin' fun?"
His breathing was a bit husky, but his steady smothering eyes were solely on her. As he opened his mouth to respond, when suddenly they were both interrupted as the door swung open only to expose a preplexed Billy.
"What the fuck Amy!?" He blurted out in rage.
"Shut the fuckin' door you creep!" She sharply fired back while covering her exposed boobs and swiftly distancing herself from him.
He angrily slammed the door and stormed out from the scene. She shyly returned her gaze to Hugh. As the awkward tension in the room slowly encroached their space. He awkwardly wore his shirt and briskly started leaving the room.
"Do visit us some other time. Please" She muttered nervously.
He simply nodded before walking out of the room. He had no idea why she kissed him, but
it didn't matter much to him at the moment. It
was infact the least thing on his mind, since it wasn't the first time he'd had such encounter.
He quickly made his way out of the house and wandered into the dark. The street was lonely and the wind whispered breezes of ominous rhyme, mixed with the chilly weather that filled the atmosphere with a thick fog. The night did not seem friendly, but niether was he. After all he was no stranger to danger.
