Becoming His Student {2}

This was the most amazing thing I have ever seen… This was simply breathtaking, my eyes were gazing upon something so magical. What is this place exactly? This was enough to stun anyone. The moment the giant door opened my eyes feasted upon an endless row of books… kept on twisted shelves like a curve, bending all the way to the tallest ceiling I have ever seen.

It was so tall, so elongated and my mouth was left open as I looked all the way up. What made it more breathtaking was the floating books in several places. I closed my eyes and shook my head before opening them once again but I still met with such wonder… I thought I might be dreaming but I definitely wasn't.

The books floating looked like they were arranging themselves even to the tallest of shelves, how was this possible? What kind of sorcery is this?

A chuckle came before me. "Magic"

I turned my trembling gaze to Severus who looked at me with a smile on his lips, my cheek tainted pink by his attention.

"This is magic," he added again with amusement.

'Magic' I turned my eyes back to the splendor, this was the most remarkable thing I have ever seen! Magic was beautiful.

"This is the extension of this place, this is the Holy library" he explains as he leads the way and I follow. We were both like ants in this enormous place.

"Knowledge, Grimoires, books from the beginning of time as well as things beyond what any mortals can't comprehend lies in this very place. Books you will never get to see in your lifetime, pieces of knowledge that not even you or I can comprehend, sleep in this place and…" he halts.

And I did too.

"Our master is the caretaker of this place, he is the spirit that keeps this knowledge in place and protected and also keeps it away from unwanted beings"

'Unwanted beings'? Like thieves? Definitely thieves.

He chuckled again and I pondered like he seemed amusement, but I had a hint… a hint he might be reminiscing about the past as he narrated this place to me, I wonder.

Severus continued his walk after a clear of his throat and I did, he led me deeper into it, and I only just thought that, because the more we walked the more I got to see how big this place is, is there even an end to it?

I think there was… because we finally got closer to a tall glass reaching the very ceiling and in squares, a mixed of colorful glasses all the way to the top but it was mostly a dim red and green… the sun rays coming from it made it look so wondrous and I noticed little shiny dust flowing from the rays, it was so beautiful and it descended even to a more breathtaking path and before it was a setup.

A high kingy chair embodied with purely gold but the leather that covered it was dark green, the table was the same design and it gave life to this magical place even more, almost like the very concentration of this place. And what gave off the most powerful aura in all I have ever seen was the figure seated on the kingly chair… William. I gulped, he sat on the throne like he was made for it… born for it even, was he?

The table had books arranged on both sides perfectly and not out of place, and the center was a clear space.

We got closer and closer and we needed to climb the five stairs that led to the table, until we were finally before William who appears to be writing something on a scroll, with his black quill that gave off golden ink. Guill? I have encountered some of it in the past but I know there are custom pens now so I wonder…

I shifted my eyes to William and I almost caught my breath again. This was a sight that caused my brain to go numb, I never thought anyone would look attractive just by writing. I blushed, do I think he's attractive? I shook my head, what was I thinking?!

"Master," Severus said. "I have brought the young miss"

At his words, William gave only a slight nod not bothering to look up and Severus bowed before leaving like he understood his gesture.

It was just him and me now... in this otherworldly place, I gulped and found comfort by staring at the marble floor in dark brown matching the color of the walls, my heartbeat could be heard by me, hammering like a drum, why was I nervous and why was I flushed? Was it because I woke up on his bed? I blushed more when I thought about it and how comfortable I slept but I still found it hard to convince myself that comfortable feeling came from just the bed.

What if... I moved my eyes to my masked owner, what if he was the reason? I flinched when he suddenly rolled up the scroll like he was done and placed it on top of the other books like he was finished.

He then proceeds to rest his hand on the table, the other resting with his elbow and the back of his hand on his cheek… well mask. He tilted his head to the side and I could tell he was looking at me now and it caused my cheek to further heat up.

What now?
