CHAPTER 55

Camilla drove William to the military camp today to let him go. The air was full of emotion. Many relatives came to bid goodbye.

There were spouses, parents, siblings, and others. Some cried, hugged, and kissed each other, while others prayed to God to protect their loved ones when they left for state tasks.

"Will, I'm afraid," Camilla said as she slid her hand into William's slim arms before getting out of the car. Camilla slipped her hand and put her head on William's chest.

"I'll be back soon, honey. I have to go now, but I'll be right back. Wait until I get home, okay?" William stroked his wife's hand and softly kissed her hair to calm her.

"I'm worried God will take you. I'm worried I'll lose your hand. I'm afraid ... I'm ..." Camilla stammered, so...

"Hey, hey, hey!" William tightly hugged Camilla.
