"There's no point loving someone who already has a special one in her heart. All I could do was to give her freedom and love her from afar."
Kendra's POV
"To you, I was just a money-worshiping woman, a gold digger. Tell me, why do you think of me that way huh?" I scoffed, not looking him in the eye, trying to hold my tears in, trying not to get stressed for my baby's sake.
"Since you have already decided, then, tell me, if I asked for a hundred million, or even a billion, would you give it to me?" still not looking, I tested him.
"Is that what you truly want?" he asked me.
"Why? Are you taking your words back now?" I teased him.
"No, I will arrange that to your bank–" he was still explaining when I butted in.
"–Relax, will you? I was just kidding, you know?" I even laughed alone.
But it seemed his sense of humor ran out, "Kendra, this is a serious matter."
