CHAPTER 22

  When Dante got into the mansion, the first thing he did was to use his wolf to scrutinize the place. Satisfied that he was far from danger, he settled.

  "Are you trying to find out if you are in danger?" Declan asked.

  Surprised that he was able to read his action, "how do you know?" he was forced to ask.

  "Your father taught me a lot," he simply said.

  Dante was patiently waiting for him to continue, but he didn't. He knew that he had to press further if he wanted answers. "How did you know my father?"

  "I'll tell you everything that you need to know. But before then, I need to give you a tour of the property and the neighborhood."

  "Why?" Dante didn't care about what happened in the environment. All he wanted now was his food and a long hour of sleep. Was that too much to get?
