"What is this!?"
His voice is strong and deep, holding a domineering tone that could make anyone writhe in utter fear.
His dark brown eyes glared down at the two intimidating bulky looking guards who stood there in black & gray uniforms and a mask, with their hands behind their backs and an apologetic look on their face.
But for Aron, they did not look sorry nor intimidating at all.
Aron continued to glare at them until he heard a painful groan leave the man's lips who sat there on the couch with his jaw bruised and clothes almost torn— and it was none other than his beloved sister's fiancé, Matthew Lin.
Aron, 21 years old, was the second and also the oldest step—grandson of Mr. Bezenez. If there was a choice to either save Mei Mei or himself, he would choose Mei Mei, that is how much love he has for his step—sister, let alone the fact he wouldn't hesitate to kill anyone for his sister.
"W-We thought Ms. Bezenez is in trouble, so we broke in and tackled the burglar. We really didn't know it was Mr. Lin."
A look away in disbelief, Aron raised his hand before the guards could bow down again.
"I will deal with this later, go search for Ms. Bezenez!"
Aron said before he sternly eyed them and left the room swiftly, but then his feet took a pause when Matthew gasped.
"L—later? They elbowed me." Matthew said through his gritting teeth and Aron's jaw clenched in annoyance.
Turning his head around, his dark and sharp orbs dug into his soul making Matthew gulp.
"Give Mr. Lin free treatment."
Aron said as he turned to Dr. Lin and Matthew frowned.
"I thought I said you that they elbowed me—"
"What do you want me to do, pamper?"
Matthew flinched as soon as Aron snapped with his calm yet very stern voice.
Aron watched Matthew sit there in defeat as he, who felt so embarrassed sat still in the couch within his lips forming a thin line.
"Fxck," He thought as he looked down from Aron.
Aron turned around and when his eyes fell upon the guards who were still standing there and Aron was quick to snap at them in annoyance.
"What are you waiting for? Go search for her!"
And the guards rushed towards the door and when one of them were going to open the door, it clicked open from outside making them step back upon noticing the pair of feet that had the nails painted red and blue heels that had its straps bow-tied with a cute smile upon it.
Stepping inside with a basket in her small hands, the young girl tried to balance the heavy weight with both of her hands.
"Xiu Shao?" Aron said as he stepped forward in disbelief.
Looking up from her feet as Aron reached over, her lips parted, and a bright smile formed on her face.
"Big Brother! Didn't know you are here—"
"What are you doing here?"
Xiu pouted as soon as Aron said before she placed the basket on the table.
"I know I shouldn't be here, but I missed my sister!"
Aron sighed as he took off his coat before handing it to her to wear since she was shivering from cold.
"You were supposed to be resting, Xiu, It just has been a week since you recovered from chicken pox."
"Do I care? Plus, see? My skin is so fair already!"
Aron softened at her sweet grin, but when Xiu noticed beaten up Matthew, the grin by itself vanished from her face and she looked back at Aron.
"Pfft—"
As she covered her mouth, Aron frowned before looking back at Matthew and then at Xiu.
"What?"
Xiu was fast to lower her upcoming laughter before she leaned closer.
"What happened to him big brother, he looks like a red mongoose."
Aron watched Xiu giggle and now Aron also had to do same upon realizing that Matthew does actually look like a red mongoose.
Red Mongoose, one of the characters in the show they used to laugh at a lot since their childhood and Aron remembers it like it happened just any other recent night.
Hearing the low laughs around, he glanced up at the guards, and they immediately straightened their backs and walked out of the room before Aron smiled back at his young step—sister.
"Well, I think it takes some time to see you sister."
Xiu frowned as Aron sighed before adjusting the collars of his coat that she wore.
"Why— Is she okay!?"
Xiu stepped along with Aron who reached the door.
Aron stopped her before turning around.
"I'm sure she is okay. I just have to get back to work."
Xiu's feet hesitantly took a step back but when Aron opened the door, she took a hold of his hand.
"I will also come—"
"You know Mei, Xiu."
Aron cuts her off before his eyes met her long eyelashes ones.
"She loves wandering."
Xiu pressed her lips close before nodding.
"She loves wandering."
" —One Iced Americano please?"
The Hospital's cafeteria was heavy with crowd and loud of their voices, but one's bright lips that moved in front of the newly furnished counter made every guy possible eye her, taking as much as of her curves in, but when their eyes trailed up to her eyes, they were quick to gulp at the amount of sharpness they held.
Never heard or seen of doe yet sharp eyes? Well, we have one existing in this particular hospital.
The guy at the counter had his fingers stuck upon the keywords of the keyboard as his eyes never left her lips while she sighed in frustration.
Brushing her silky hair strands behind her ear, Mei Mei checked the time on her wrist that had the watch wrapped around.
Looking up impatient, she eyed his face before her eyes fell upon the badge that was pinned to his collar.
"Joey?"
She spelled, and his cheeks turned pink before she rolled her eyes and slammed the dollars on the counter making him flinch.
"I know you are sleepy but punch an Iced Americano for me, would you?"
He blinked vigorously before biting his lips shyly.
"Yes, M—Miss."
Mei Mei watched him patiently type and press enter before tearing the barcode and handing the receipt back to her along with change.
"Extra discount for you."
Joey gulped as he murmured before running off which led Mei Mei chuckle and leave the line and reach over to the counter and handing the receipt.
Waiting for her drink to be ready, Mei Mei took her time to admire the fairy lights that were decorated all over the ceiling.
What a pity, Mei, you didn't come here in your days, did you?
Mei thought as she chuckled sadly while leaning against the counter.
Shaking her head in the process, Mei noticed the Television that was above her head which soon glitched and was turned on.
As the screen lit up, Mei stepped back.
Eyeing the small label at the corner of the screen, her lips parted, and Mei Mei gasped like a child when a familiar song began to play.
Wait, what was the name again—? Ah shit, it came out on that day, didn't it?"
Mei said to herself as she remembered that this song was released on the day she died.
"You make me go ay ay ay—Melodramatic~"
As she heard a familiar voice sing on the television screen, she snapped her fingers.
"Yes! It was Melodrama Night by him!!"
As she exclaimed joyfully, her feet took more steps backwards to get a better view of the television screen but with every step she took back, they only near someone's. Someone who was ordering with their hands busy of two Iced Americano that he seemed to lose grip on every time he moved.
One more step backward, Mei Mei clapped her hands before her hair felt the tug and her feet stubbornly bumped over his.
His eyebrows scrunched as a yelp echoed behind before he felt his hands lose the grip over the Iced Americano within his jacket's sleeve being pulled by someone from behind.
As he was flipped around, the Iced Americanos flew in the air.
Mei watched herself slowly fall down while her grip on his sleeve was stronger than ever.
His masked face getting an inch closer to hers, his hand swiftly wrapped around her waist before he pulled her closer.
Her lips nearing his, Mei's heart puffed like a balloon inside her chest when his lips through the mask he wore fell over hers.
His crystal blue eyes dug into her soft lips that he felt against his in a haze which he didn't seem to realize what was happening.
Mei's hair fell loose down her hips before the waiter slammed the ice Americano on the counter.
"Mei Mei, Iced Americano."
Froze on the spot, both of their eyes immediately widened before Mei eyed their pose in terror.
Eyeing her who laid there in his arms like a delicate feather, his grip on her waist tightened instead of loosening and his face didn't inch away which made her face turn red. She couldn't figure out if it was the anger or the fact she was flustered, Mei was fast to slap him across his face.
His arm got off of her waist by itself before he winced at the stinging pain and the mask fell off his face which made everyone gasp.
"How dare you—"
About to yell, Mei observed his features and her lips paused by itself before her stomach churned in a way she never had left.
My lips trembled, and my heart took a race.
Christopher….?
"Oh my! Did she actually slap the Rock Star, Jay Wang!?"
Rock star…
Mei's hand squeezed a fistful of her dress as her eyes met his cold ones before she gulped down the lump in her throat.
My crush have a twin brother!?
