The origin or true nature of these inhuman beings surrounding me is unknown. Only they themselves know what they are and how capable they can be if they wish.
"That person that came out of nowhere knocked out those two in an instant?"
The two inhuman beings wearing the same uniform as ours were out cold in the mud. And the person that took care of them began to move after kicking them off the ground with a killer vibe it was emitting.
"He's coming after us! Let's go before that person catches us!"
Only the leader backed away while the ignorantly arrogant fool stood still on his ground, and with a wide grin on his face, clashed against the mysterious person in the hooded jacket.
"Tsk! That fool! I told him to run away! Fuck, there is no helping him now. I'm just gonna run away with the other two."
The leader of the group had a roundabout, used his might to pick up his unconscious comrades of his, putting them on both his shoulders, and left the ignorant fool to fight the mysterious person and become the bait we need.
They had a scuffle, rolling vigorously on the muddy ground, thus dirtying their clothes while I slowly regained the strength I had lost.
Subconsciously, my feet moved on their own towards my unconscious friend, coming to his aid. I thought Clause was not breathing anymore when I saw his pale face mixed with mud on his cheeks and forehead.
Immediately, I picked up his umbrella and small backpack, wearing it on my back then carefully held him up to get away from this hellhole we have plunged in.
I dared to look back at what was going on between the two and witnessed them throw punches at each other with the arrogant fool seemingly enjoying the scuffle. From what I could see, for me, it looked like the mysterious person was getting pushed back by the ignorant fool.
In the mud, they parried punches, blocked kicks, tried throwing the other on the ground, and evaded such decisive prompts.
If one were to look closely at them, without the dirt and mud on their body and skin, these inhuman beings can blend into the community and even live a normal life with us.
'But... What if they are? Are they shapeshifters? Had they been blending in society, with us, how would we differentiate them from normal people?'
No one knows for sure what they are. They could be one of the mythical creatures from folklore or otherworldly beings that arrived on our planet to secretly colonize us while they feed on humans and inhabit our land.
"We can't stay here any longer, Clause. Wake up, so I don't have to become your legs in this crisis!"
Considering the muddy path and wet clothes and belongings, I doubt I will be able to leave this forest any minute. I could barely take a single step because I need to be careful or the two of us will slip and fall.
My mind was focused on getting out of the forest and taking my friend to the clinic to have him checked up by the doctor himself.
As per the battle between two otherworldly beings, I ignored them and went my way.

With Ira turning his back on the two monsters that were battling it off the sticky slick mud, the fight continues.
The two filled the air with their ominous vibe, and spores floating that came off their skin with each arduous movement they made.
Using their inhuman speed, the two ran around the forest, making it look like sprinting in the mud was an easy thing to do. With their eyes locked onto each other, the ignorantly arrogant fool chased the mysterious person away from the direction Ira went.
The mysterious person looked back and saw that Ira and Esecleus had completely gotten away from the forest, for they could not see them anymore.
Upon realizing that, the mysterious person suddenly steered, stopping in his tracks, which the other one did too.
"You let our prey get away! For that, you will have to pay the consequence and become food for us!"
The ignorantly arrogant fool extended long sharp nails on his fingers and demonstrated how well they could cut and pierce, lashing on a tree trunk. He tore a part of the tree and showed the mysterious person how he would crush his with his hand.
"Like leaves that had fallen off the trees, people withered too."
Instead of letting go of the crumpled part of a tree on the ground, the arrogant fool cunningly threw it toward the direction of the mysterious person to obscure its vision. He took it as an opportunity to get behind him when his enemy used its arm to avoid having a splinter in its eyes.
"Hehe!" sinisterly laughed the arrogant fool behind the mysterious person with his right hand ready to scoop out his enemy's heart.
Instantly, his sharp claw flew towards the left side of the mysterious person's back and he witnessed his hand rip the jacket open and the tip of his sharp nails was tainted red by blood.
However, he did not triumph over his actions but felt enraged when he noticed that the mysterious person had unbelievably avoided having its heart gouge out its ribcage.
His attack was followed by another deadly thrust, aiming for his enemy's neck but then again only reached the mysterious person's jacket after slightly jerking its head.
Then what came next was a barrage of sharp and dangerous thrust and slash from the arrogant fool, which eventually led to tire himself out and out of breath after all of his prompted attacks were amazingly dodged by the mysterious person.
"Are you done?"
The ever-so-overwhelming voice which sounded so belittling to the arrogant fool shook the man down on his core. The mysterious person's bloodshot eyes gazed upon his soul and at the back of the mysterious person's eyes were pure overwhelming terror. He felt so little in front of his enemy but nevertheless raised a claw against the person superior in both strength and speed than him.
"It's never finished unless I'm dead!" He exclaimingly said and aimed for the mysterious person's eyes, but then again, he was outdone. His fingers were caught and were immediately broken where the bones on his fingers revealed themselves while blood spurted out of the wood.
"Argh!"
The arrogant fool's cry did not end there. His voice echoed in the forest until it cracked after he got his vocal cords cut off, and the still-pumping organ inside his chest was shown to him.
"Isn't this your heart? Just as I expected. It looks ugly."
And thus, the mysterious person crushed his heart right before his eyes as he inaudibly cried for his life, and shoved it into the hole in his throat.
"And here I thought you'd be able to entertain me... What a shame."
His lifeless body thudded on the ground and the mysterious person looked around, sniffing in the air.
"So that's the reason why he passed out. How clever of that coward to use this as a weapon."
After dropping the body of the arrogant fool, it picked him up again, carried the man on his shoulder, and parted with the forest.
"The others will not like it if we leave evidence."

It took Ira about 10 minutes, struggling on his path, treading on mud with Clause around his shoulder before he could leave the forest.
The amount of relief and overwhelming joy when he saw other students looking for scattered easter eggs melted his heart. And all of the strength he had left his body, eventually collapsing on the ground.
"H-Hey. That person just fell."
People ran to their aid and brought the two of them to the clinic.
Two hours had passed since the event ended and the first one to regain consciousness was Esecleus.

When I woke up, I noticed that I was in the clinic, lying on the white bed they provide for sick patients.
There was no nursing student present in the clinic, only the doctor and his nurse. I also noticed that my clothes had changed into hospital clothes. What the hell? Does that mean Dr. Flores took off our clothes, saw our naked bodies, and even put on the hospital clothes on us?! Or it may be the nurse that did it. I just hope that it's her otherwise I'd be damned.
"Doc, he is awake," spoke the nurse to Dr. Flores who was checking up on the other bed where I assumed Ira was sleeping.
At that moment, my mind only wanted to know if Ira was okay. I did not ask myself or tried to rack my brain as to what happened back in the forest.
"How are you feeling?" asked Dr. Flores with a worried look on his face but I could not affirm if it was genuine or not.
How am I feeling?
"I just feel slightly cold. As for any pain, I don't feel anything."
Yep. I am completely fine other than feeling cold. The dizziness I felt earlier disappeared after a few hours of being unconscious, and I could feel my strength again in my body.
"Other students participating in the event brought the two of you here. You guys must have pushed yourself a bit hard finding easter eggs in exchange for Account Points."
