　　I stared at the mark Evan left on my neck. My eyes teared up as I felt angry at him. Who does he think he is acting like he can do whatever he wants with me? I'm not his object!


　　I may have been a pushover before, but I'm tired of being bullied by him and by my mother. I can't stand it anymore.


　　I decided to forget about him and try to get excited about my date with Mike. I still have a fear of being stood up again, but I scolded myself to stop being paranoid. I searched my closet for a nice dress, but everything looked sad and ugly. I looked at the dress Evan gave me, and my heart skipped a beat. I remembered how happy I was that day because of his sweet gesture.


　　That's it, I need to buy a new dress. I took out the lunch money I had saved up and headed to the Mall. I wanted to look good for Mike.
