INVESTIGATION OF THE POWER SYSTEM IN THE WORLD OF ARUN

The following is an extract from a book in the Union Academy Library in Landrose City, the Capital of the Bayveth Republic.

This, I believe, describes the nuance of this world's power system,

1 ring to awaken Pangea; 2 rings to channel mana; 3 rings to focus mana; 4 rings to become one with mana; 5 rings to exude mana; 6 rings to light your mana spark; 7 rings to build your mana domain; 8 rings to secure your domain; 9 rings to anchor your domain; 10 rings to make your domain eternal!

I'll break this down so that it makes sense.

-1 ring to awaken Pangea-

All those who reach 100% Mana Affinity Completion Percentage (MAC%) form their first ring. This ring morphs into the gift of Arun which is known as Pangea. It is impossible for anyone not to reach 100 MAC% before they are fifteen years old, so all humans in the modern world of Arun awaken their Pangea.

-2 rings to channel mana-

After building their 1st ring and awakening Pangea, humans absorb their mana to their core to form the 2nd ring. After forming the second ring, a person would have sufficient amount of mana to channel through their body, raising the performance of their body minutely. For example, warming themselves in cold temperature to a degree.

Anyone who can display the full power of this level and defeat the equivalent Beast-class beast are called 'Novice' by the Hunters Union.

-3 rings to focus mana-

After forming the 3rd ring, a person gains the ability to concentrate mana to a part of their bodies to increase its effect significantly. For example, focusing mana to the fist to increase punch strength; focusing mana to the legs to increase jump strength and so on.

Anyone who can display the full power of this level and defeat the equivalent Monster-class beast are named 'Beginner' by the Hunters Union.

-4 rings to become one with mana-

With the formation of the 4th ring, humans can now enhance their entire body faculties with mana. I.e. A full body-enhancement to a degree.

(P.S: From my experiment with the members of the Elite squad, focussing mana to one part of the body gives a larger enhancement to that part than a full-body enhancement. This makes sense since the total mana would have to share through the entire body as opposed to focusing it on one spot.)

Anyone who can display the full power of this level and defeat the equivalent Threat-class beast are designated 'Expert' by the Hunters Union.

-5 rings to exude mana-

With the 5th ring comes the ability to release mana from the body. This is where use of mana becomes practical. A person can shoot a condensed form of mana (e.g.: mana bullet, mana slash etc.) at this point. Also, a person may coat themselves in their mana to further improve the performance; isolate themselves from substances in the air and their surrounding (e.g.: dust, poisons etc.) and so on. They can also coat their weapon in their mana to do same.

Being able to release mana means a person at this level is only limited by their imagination and the amount of mana they have in what they can do. Hence, why this level is the starting point of those in the main Hunter Union.

Anyone who can display the full power of this level and defeat the equivalent Terror-class beast are titled 'Knight' by the Hunters Union.

-6 rings to light your mana spark-

At the 6th ring, humans finally awaken their mana attribute. This awakening causes the colour of their mana to change from the neutral white-blue colour to the corresponding shade of their attribute. Red for fire, blue for water, brown for earth and so on.

Usually, a person's mana attribute is displayed ahead of time by their Pangea. A fire-type Pangea usually means the person would awaken the fire attribute. However, there can be exceptions, which give birth to individuals of multiple attributes.

This level is particularly important to Lifestyle professionals because attribute usually determines success in a field. An Alchemist needs to have a fire attribute to become a high level Alchemist (Adept-rank and higher).

Anyone who can display the full power of this level and defeat the equivalent Destroyer-class beast is raised to 'Noble' by the Hunters Union.

-7 rings to build your mana domain-

At 7 rings, one learns to communicate with the same attributed mana in their surrounding to form a domain around them. This domain, usually 3m but can be more depending on talent of the user, enhances the owners' strength as well as the use of his attributes within the domain. It similarly weakens the opponent as well as the use of other attributes within it, especially conflicting attributes.

(P.S: It is difficult to use water-attributed abilities within a fire domain).

Anyone who can display the full power of this level and defeat the equivalent Calamity-class beast is respected as a 'Lord' by the Hunters Union.

-8 rings to secure your domain-

With the 8th ring comes the ability to temporarily seal off an area of space as one's domain of influence. Anyone trapped within this domain, which I describe as an 'Arena' can forget about leaving it without having 8 rings themselves. Even then, it would take time to escape an Arena Domain as the domain of the combatants would have to clash for supremacy.

The Domain enhances everything about its owner, while it can suppress everything about a weaker person who find themselves within it if the owner wishes. Usually, people at this level don't use their Arena domain unless it is important or they want to trap their target.

Anyone who can display the full power of this level and defeat the equivalent Catastrophe-class beast is honoured as a 'Champion' by the Hunters Union.

-9 rings to anchor your domain-

The 9th ring grants one the understanding of the rules of the world of Arun. With these rules, one may permanently fix a domain in a region of space. This domain, which I refer to as 'Haven', can remain as long as the owner is alive and well. The Haven-domain constantly absorbs and is rich in the same attributed mana as the owner. It is a small world on its own that people of the same attribute can live in comfortably, people of other attribute can also live comfortably to an extent but people with conflicting attribute will struggle to live in this small world.

A Haven-type domain will fall apart when the owner dies.

Anyone who can display the full power of this level and defeat the equivalent Extinction-class beast is exalted as a 'Hero' by the Hunters Union.

-10 rings to make your domain eternal-

The 10th ring is the peak of power for humans in the world of Arun. It grants the person the understanding and use of a Law corresponding to their attribute. Fire law for a fire-attributed; Water Laws for a water-attributed and so on.

Those at this level can use their Law understanding to elevate their Haven-Domain to a new domain level, which I designate a 'Kingdom'. A Kingdom-Domain improves on the Haven-domain.

Same as the Haven domain, it is a small world, however, it will never breakdown unless it is attacked by another Kingdom-domain or person at the required level. For this reason, Kingdoms also last long after their founders have died.

Anyone irrespective of their mana attribute can live within a Kingdom-domain, however, those who share the same attributes of the founder have an advantage while those who have contrasting attributes are not affected unless willed by the owner of the Kingdom.

Within the Kingdom, the owner is a god onto themselves.

Anyone who can display the full power of this level and defeat the equivalent Apocalypse-class beast is venerated as a 'Saint' by the Hunters Union.

This is the understanding I gained of the world of Arun's power system during my research. I admit, many of the information given here are based on my inference and may be flawed. I would've to meet someone at the corresponding levels to confirm them.
