Most women imagine Angelo Sorrentino as rich, handsome, and confident, except Emily Rosette.

Emily soon learns that being known as "Mrs. Sorrentino" comes with both its perks and dangers. She is now tasked with protecting her fake husband, Angelo, at all costs from the people closest to him. The world of the rich is proving to be bigger than what Emily had thought it to be, proving once again that not all that glitters is gold.

Hearing Angelo say such sweet words to her almost made Emily feel better about herself—that is, until she remembered that everything that Angelo had trusted her with, she had given away to his greedy siblings.

"Emily," Angelo called out to her.

"Yes!" Emily answered once she realized that she had been staring at Angelo's wedding band for some time and had said nothing else.

"You've been staring at my ring for quite some time; if you do not like it, I can have it."

"No! I actually love it. I guess I was simply mesmerized by its beauty," Emily responded as she forced a smile. Seeing Angelo's face brighten up when she told him that she loved his ring made her happy, but inwardly she wondered what would happen when the storm set it.
