Emily froze as she heard the older woman refer to herself as Angelo's mother, being that Emily had never known that Angelo's mother was still alive.
"Angelo has a mother." Emily told herself mentally, as she was unable to believe that the woman standing at the foot of the stairs was Angelo's mother.
"Good afternoon, Ms. Sorrentino." Emily turned around and saw that it was Tito coming down the steps, and he was greeting the older woman.
"Oh, Tito, I can see you're still working for my son. I honestly thought he would have gotten rid of you by now," the older woman told him, smiling as though what she said warranted a smile.
"Yes, madam, I am still employed by Mr. Angelo. I can see that you are still as wicked as ever," Tito responded. Instead of being offended by the older woman's words, he too was smiling at her.
